NOTE - If you have a child with special needs, this is absolutely the place to go. The staff at Harley’s Pottery Painting Studio are incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. They’ve proven to be amazing in situations where other places might feel stressful or uncomfortable. Honestly, they’re just wonderful with kids in general—gentle, encouraging, and truly attentive.

The Experience We had such a great time here! Harley’s is a hidden gem in Fort Smith with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a total beginner or have painted before, the staff walks you through the whole process, making it super easy and stress-free.

There’s a wide selection of pottery pieces to choose from, and tons of paint colors and tools so you can really get creative. Whether you're coming solo, on a date, or bringing the whole family, it’s a relaxing, artsy activity that’s fun for everyone.

The Cost At first glance, the price ($20–$40 per piece) might seem a little high—but trust me, it’s totally worth it. That price includes everything: the piece, the paint, the glaze, and the firing. Unlike some other places, you won’t get hit with surprise fees for using “too much paint” or anything like that. It’s all simple and upfront, and the experience reflects the value.

The Timing Plan to spend about an hour to an hour and 20 minutes here. It's a perfect way to fill time before dinner, a movie, or while you're exploring downtown—since it’s conveniently located near everything.

The Negative - The only negative thing I could say about this place that is if you are from out of town, or live far away, you might have to travel back to pick up your piece once it's finished. I think for most of us those we know and expect this, they might have shipping options...

This place is a must visit in Fort Smith! I took my mom, sister, and grandma here last Saturday, and we picked up our pieces this evening (Thursday). Everything came out beautifully. The owners were very friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable. The studio is spacious and well lit, with all the available pieces easy to see on display. Absolutely loved my experience painting here! Harley the dog is there to greet you and loooves to be pet. Don’t be alarmed if she barks when you enter the store, she is as friendly as they come! The owners are such a sweet couple as well and they made the painting experience such a pleasant one. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun date night, something fun to the do with the kids or even just to paint solo. Takes 5-7 days for your piece to be complete, but it’s well...
