I dont like leaving negative reviews, but this was hands down the worst selection of cards I've ever seen in a TCG store. There was tons of random products to look at such as sleeves, dice, mats, etc. But if you're a collector or player and need cards GO ELSEWHERE. They have absolutely no cards on display so you have to use their computer to browse their tcg player inventory. Employee said they do a ton of pokemon, and sell a lot, but they had a total of 29 cards in their inventory for pokemon. Most expensive being a $26 scarlet and violet promo... looking at Magic cards... same thing... huge huge let down considering how HUGE this place is. The store itself is awesome with tons of room for players and events. Shop was set up very well, honestly one of the best first impressions I've had in the 100s of stores I've gone into in my life. Was such a let down driving here to see this place. Employee said they have tons of magic and pokemon singles which can be ordered and picked up, but their inventory was non existent.
They do have bulk to dig through (less than $1 a card) if you're into cheap stuff.
If you're a player, there's lots of space to come with friends. But also if you're a player, I'd recommend elsewhere to buy products if this is your local spot. Their booster boxes are insanely over market price. Some collector boxes were around $80 over market. Booster boxes are $50 over. Basically.... if you need supplies or a local spot to play, stop in here. It's great. If you actually need cards or sealed product go elsewhere or buy online and wait 2 days for shipping and save substantially. One of the worst shops I've ever been into as far as inventory availability, especially considering the amazing size of this shop.
Edit in response to owner: I asked if they had other singles. And I came in before trade night occurred lol. Heard customers talking about getting ready for it. There was 1 file cabinet of bulk cards. And 1 display of foreign/ signed mtg cards. And also, yes... your collector boxes are well over market. May want to check tcg / ebay prices again on the collector boxes that are out in displays (not on the slat wall behind counter. I couldn't see those prices because they're too far away)
I also specifically asked the employee if you had other singles. Asked if the computer was accurate about having under 30 pokemon cards listed in inventory. Asked about mtg singles as well. He made it very clear that what was in the computer was accurate and up to date. I walked through each room and saw no displays with singles in any room other than when you first walk in with the signed mtg / sports singles. I was instructed any other cards not listed would be in the large Grey file cabinet and are all...
Read moreI wasn't going to share this, but I don't want this to happen to anyone else and I think it should be known when it comes to sharp gaming. Sharp gaming has many issues, in my opinion. #1 The staff members get first take on anything coming into the store. I've seen and heard employees discussing taking cards and making deals, also I have seen them take cards that just got sold to the store, and put them back for themselves- therefore removing any possibility for a customer to have access to that card. On Multiple occasions I would ask to see a card THAT WAS IN THE CASE and some staff member would go pull it, hide the card, and act like the card was not for sell and was never in the case. Completely shady business. #2. Sharp gaming has a major issue when it comes to back door deals, or as their staff like to call them " their private dealers." Multiple staff members have these people that they will deal with, and I have seen and heard them standing in the store making deals right there in front of customers. This, in my opinion is very bad business. We as customers don't want to walk into a place and hear this going on in front of us. We also would like access to sought after cards. #3. If you're not a regular at this shop, The staff will completely ignore you while they discuss their favorite type of dinosaur and how their cosplay outfits don't fit them etc. They are just very inattentive to people clearly looking in the cases, waiting for help to look at a card. So, if you're not a private dealer or a regular (meaning, one that spends lots of $$$$) good luck having anyone...
Read moreI disagree with the owner's statement that Sharp Gaming cares deeply about its customers. I ordered/paid for five (5) Magic the Gathering Phyexia All Will Be One Compleat bundles on 1/26/23 via an eBay auction. The auction stated it was a pre-sale with shipping on 2/24. On 2/9, Sharp Gaming messaged me stating the release had been pushed back to 3/3 and asked if I wanted a refund. I replied I was fine waiting until 3/3 since I knew my local stores would not have it until then and planned to heavily allocating to walk-in customers. On 2/12, Sharp Gaming messaged me thanking me for being understanding and affirming they'd ship the bundles as soon as possible. On 3/2, Sharp Gaming messaged me again stating their allocation had been cut, so they were cancelling my order entirely, apologizing for the inconvenience and that I should receive notification once the refund processes. Note, Sharp Gaming did receive the product from their distributor, just not as much as they sold on eBay and wanted available for their local customers. As of 3/12/23, I have not received the product I ordered nor a refund. My opinion, Sharp Gaming is not a business with...
