Dollar General — Local services in Fort Wayne

They tend to make their own hours, the staff pretty much ignores you. Except to watch you like a hawk lest you steal. Which I mean sure, profiling works I guess, except it doesnt. And it makes good customers feel really uncomfortable. Its always a mess.. the pricing needs so much work. Ive worked in retail for 10 years and i tell ya.. its pretty bad. No matter what kind if store it is, orthe "demographics" of your patrons, still treat people with respect unless they give you a reason not to. It will earn you return customers. I live very close but will travel further to not be treated like a criminal when i spend my hard...

the reason I answered the way I answered is because this Dollar general is the most messed-up Dollar general I have ever seen They close down early because they have no one there to work my daughters have been trying to get a job there but no one is hiring they said but yet there's no one there Then the products that the other Dollar generals have this door does not have them they have not had eggs here in several months they say they've ordered them but they're no eggs they have other products that they don't have either like the other stores do this store I'm surprised it's still open it is so nasty on the inside it is...

I helped my handicapped neighbor to our neighborhood Dollar General on W. Creighton St. in Fort Wayne, IN on Saturday, July 18, 2020. Health problems and the heat made us slow and we unintentionally made it with only 10 minutes to closing. The three young gentlemen clerking were exceptionally polite and compassionate and helped us get what we needed before they had to lock their door. They had no way of knowing she had just been discharged from the E.R. for dehydration and needed the drinks and food.
