Just wanted to start by saying I went to a different optical (not Longe) to get a eye exam and hopefully some new glasses and walking in the door it was just bad energy the optician look like he didn’t want to be there. The doctor came out, asking me if I had any insurance and it seemed like he was talking at me not to me. I told them yeah and gave them my insurance And they basically sort of rudely told me that They don’t accept it so I was willing to pay cash but the more I walked around and looked at glasses the more I didn’t like the way i was being spoken to especially since I’m coming here to spend cash even though I have insurance! so I left called my insurance just to see what places may Except me and longe was one of them. I felt better about getting my eyes Checked at longe Optical just by talking on the phone with them I felt a sense of relief. I told the gentleman on the phone about the sense of urgency that I had in my need for glasses and he got me an appointment the same week the day of the appointment I walk in a little bit Leary because of my past experience at the last Optical. So I walk again and I am greeted by everyone. I felt so welcome. The optician Lyra Began to help right away she was so pleasant and I could tell she really loves her job. Dr.Szczerba Super cool he did a wonderful job on my eye exam. He was very Knowledgeable and quick and made me feel extremely comfortable. So coming into this appointment, they told me that glasses should take 7 to 10 days to arrive after seeing my prescription (IM BLIND) Lyra Made it her business to get my glasses done the SAME DAY and believe it or not they were done within 2 1/2 hours of me leaving! Read moreIn the blistering heat of a July parking lot, I walked with blurry vision toward Longe Optical. A blast of cool air fanned my face and Cynthia — my first point of contact with the Longe staff — gave me an intriguing glance and in the softest voice she welcomed me in. She has one of those low, soothing voices you know without asking can sing on key. After filling out the lightest little stack of paper work, I meandered the impressive walls of glasses, but of course, I already knew which pair I wanted. My wife had a clear set of Legre slim tech frames and — as every husband should want to be just like his beautiful wife — I wanted to copy her and get the very same pair. In truth, I’d tried them on many times at home and was jealous of her, though I am slightly more jealous of the frames, getting to sit on her lovely eyes all day long. I should mention that — and I hope I am remembering his name correctly — Dan was the manager on the floor and he ran a tight ship. When I would later come to pick up my clear frames, Dan triple insured that my glasses fit snug on my face before letting me make the mistake of leaving too soon. Lastly I should mention that Dr. Pham was incredible and if I wasn’t already a professional stay at home husband, I’d desperately want to be an optomilogist, even though I can’t even spell it correctly....

I originally had a late afternoon exam appointment and received a call to move it. We settled on another time that was actually over my lunch break. so I could take the appointment around my lunch break.
The day of, I arrived promptly for my appointment. I was told to sit in the waiting area and someone would be over to collect my driver's license and insurance information. Meanwhile, two new customers came in and were assisted immediately. Next thing I know and it's 20 minutes later, and no one has come over to help me.
A customer's time is valuable and I certainly don't have 20+ minutes to waste, especially over a lunch break when I have to get back to work. But apparently, my time wasn't valuable to Longe Optical.
Moreover, if a company can’t greet and check in customers properly, one has to seriously question if it would take administer proper eye care.
To add insult to injury, the company made no focused effort to make this situation right -- they merely offered an insincere apology and the opportunity to reschedule.
