Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

I was inside the Dairy Queen at 6:00 PM with one person in front of me waiting to order. We stood for 15 minutes before we were ever greeted by a staff member. Then after they took our order, we waited another 15 minutes to get our food. I ordered a four piece, chicken, tender meal and a side of cheese curds. With a ranch for the chicken tenders and a marinara sauce for the cheese curds. They handed us one box and Asked where are the cheese curds and they told me they were in the box. Opened the box up to find out that they substituted my daughter’s fries with the extra side of cheese curds that I asked for instead of giving it as an extra side like I asked. We were already at this point late to her flag football practice So I didn’t have time to ask for them to fix it. Then we get in the car and realized they didn’t give us our sauces. When I went inside because she would not eat the chicken without them I waited another five minutes for them to come back up to the register to see what anyone needed. The restaurant was not clean inside. The people were not friendly did not smile and we’re very slow. And the girl working the window walked over and took a french fry out of someone’s meal and laughed and said just a little snack for me before she went back over to the window. I went to this Dairy Queen tonight and waited 30 minutes for a dip cone until I finally decided to ask for a refund because I knew I wasn’t going to receive my order any time soon. There were only 3 people working: one of them was doing drive thru, another was barely taking orders, and the manager was doing something else. The person that was supposed to be on register was only focused on completing door dash orders, and it appeared that he was putting in no effort to complete carry out orders. I asked one of the lady’s how long she’d been waiting and she said she had been waiting 30 minutes on 2 blizzards (probably about an hour by the time I left). This is my second bad experience at this DQ location btw. It is highly unlikely that I will be coming back anytime soon. I really love DQ, but this one tends to disappoint, primarily on the inside service. Typically, the ground is sticky, and the tables are not clean. The bathroom is fairly clean most times, which is shocking compared to everything else. The service is always slow or inaccurate. I've dealt with many items forgotten or with blizzards of only vanilla ice cream despite many mix-ins in the order. The drive-thru is better, as they are faster at filling these orders, but still, there's some disappointment in the food. Despite these issues, my friends and I love do love to get Cupfection and sit outside on the patio to chill. There's a good environment with the music playing and the nice lighting outside. The workers are also generally helpful and trying their best it's just hard when many of them are new...
