Aby's Hair Braiding & Weaving — Local services in Fort Worth

I had heard so much about this hair shop doing good work so i decided to try them for myself. I went here on March 14th to get told to call the shop and set a appt but even when I called before I came no answer so i had to keep trying until I got a answer. Then I was told to send a pic of what I wanted done to that number i was told the price and to do a walk in appt first come serve they open at 9. I arrive at 9 to see they are getting full with people waiting for services some had appts and some did not. It was only one employee there and she was a older woman they all called grandma she was there at the shop from 9 when they opened until about 10:30 the whole time her phone was ringing off the hook im guessing it was her late workers. So after 10:30 two more employees come walking in with attitudes on they phones and listening to music as if they was on time just straight unprofessional. So seeing this and already being irritated by the level of unprofessional but people are waiting and paying good money so the least they can do is show up on time since it is they job. Horrible. I took my daughter here to get cornrows. We waited about 40 minutes before the woman came over to look at my daughter's hair. When I took her hair down she started shaking her head and making faces and said that she would charge me $80 for basic cornrows for her hair. My daughter is biracial so she has very long, curly, and thick hair so I agreed to the price. She took my daughter to her chair and begin to speak in her native language to the other stylist as they all begin to look at my daughter and laugh and make comments. I asked if there was a problem and the lady said that she could not do her hair, she said it was too much and too thick. I proceeded to tell my daughter let's go but as my daughter walked towards me she had tears rolling down her face because she knew that these women we're talking about her hair. I let the lady know what I thought about her lack of service and got my daughter out of there. Completely lazy unprofessional incapable people at this place. I brought my daughter to this place with the intention of having a professional help me with it, instead I got someone unwilling to even try. Save your time,...

Went to this shop 02/25 first off the workers weren’t there on time. Secondly I was given one price through text messages then I got there 3/4 different prices were thrown out not cool at all because what if I only came with the amount I was told through messages. So that’s a big issue to me that needs to be resolved because that’s going to open the door to alot of problems near future. Now let’s get into the style they were beast but I often had to tell them not to go up on my edges I got small/med box braids by the way.. anywho I asked them not to go up on my edges I guess that went one ear out of the other,2 weeks later my whole back row is sliding…. & my hair isn’t short at all very much able to grasp.. unprofessional I saw a few clients getting onto a few workers for not attending to their hair & having outside phone conversations then coming back like that’s normal. I won’t be going back to this place & I paid way too much to be having to get my hair redone in 2 weeks. & make sure to get price understood before sitting down because I got to my car & they were still questioning what I should pay …...
