So I really feel bad about needing to do this review because the owners of this facility were very nice and attempted to be helpful. However, there were multiple problems at the establishment. The first problems started when I booked my room and called their hotel to verify my reservation and to ask to be put on the first floor due to a knee injury that makes it difficult to walk. I was told by the clerk he would leave a sticky note for the next employee who worked on that day But he told me he could not verify my reservation, because their computers do not populate until the day of the reservation. This didn’t make any sense. When I arrived. I was greeted by a very rude and disrespectful clerk, who acted like I didn’t have a reservation at all, and spoke to me very demeaning and disrespectful. Once he located my reservation, he tried to put me on the second floor. I explained to him about my previous phone call. After a bunch of back-and-forth, he finally located a first floor room he could give me. Then, when I asked for a second card, since I was staying in a room with two beds and occupancy for four people, he told me I would need to pay an extra five dollars per card. When we got to the room we found that the sheets were stained with black and brown stuff, and there were no blankets in the room whatsoever. The bathroom was filthy and covered with residue and slime on the bottom of the tub. I contacted the front desk and asked for new sheets and they brought them. The next morning we attempted to use the tub so we could clean it and The handle fell off. There was no way to get the handle back on as it was rusted. I once again contacted the front desk and they came and changed our room. However, when we got in the second room, it was marked with graffiti. There were however, blankets. One thing that concerned me was when I spoke with the owner. He stated “if this was any other hotel, they would have kicked you out for breaking the tub.” I replied to him we did not break the tub. The tub was rusted and dirty, and not taken care of. He replied oh, I know you didn’t break it, but other hotels wouldn’t care. I don’t know what the point of that statement was. After driving 1300 miles I registered and drove downtown for some fine TX brisket. I came back and fell asleep to be awakened by the desk phone. A woman said Hi what are you doing. It was clearly not the front desk but a PROSTITUTE wondering if I wanted to have some fun, Pretty scary stuff - she knew my room and I guess that I was alone.

At 5:45 AM I went out to get coffee (as advertised) from the front desk and check weather. I was panhandled the minute I stepped off the sidewalk by a woman getting out of a car. I said how are you doing and she said better if I LOANED her a dollar. I said she was off to a bad day!

In about 30 feet I witnessed a hooker in skin-tight white hot pants (or paint)) getting shoved in a taxi by a couple of men who just glared at me.

The front door of the lobby was locked but I could see the front desk manager. I rattled the door and he motioned I should talk in the caged hole in the window. I said I want coffee, he said he opens at 6. I said what time is it he said ten to 6. I said so are you going to make me stand out here and look through the window? He said I open at 6 and turned his back on me.At least he didn't call me infidel...

I stayed 3 nights at $49 each. (Holiday Inn Express $149 second night and all full third) My second night agt Days Inn somebody was knocking on my door asking what I was doing. It was "TJ" I told him I was calling the cops and did call the front desk. The last morning, I awakened to an empty dumpster getting slammed on the ground at 6:03. AM
