I shopped at this location for years. I was always in and out with no issues. Yesterday, I spoke to the manager, Jennifer, about an insurance policy I had purchased on an item that I bought a while back and was lost or stolen. I had bought the extra insurance because at the time, the clerk selling me the insurance specifically told me it would be covered if it was lost or stolen. It turns out that the insurance actually doesn't cover lost or stolen. This is why I never buy extra insurance it's always something or some reason why they won't cover it. Regardless, I'm okay with them not honoring their clerks word on the coverage. That is to be expected when you buy any insurance. What's makes this situation bad is Jennifer's attitude. From the very beginning of the conversation, she was treating me as if I was trying to get over on her and not really trying to hear what I was explaining to her while, what looked to me like, bullying the other coworkers by talking down to them and me as well. I believe Jennifer needs to tune down the attitude a little, get some training on customer relations, and be a little more respectful to her coworkers. I love Harbors freight they always have great prices. I just think some people get a little authority and forget how to be a little compassionate to others. Overall, I do recommend buying at Harbor Freight. Just stay clear from Jennifer. She will ruin your experience...
Read moreI just wanted to commend this sore and its employees. There has been an obvious improvement in the way they are handling there customers I went into the sore on a busy afternoon on Jan the 25th . I had a few things that need the supervisor to deal with. The young man was of medium build and has very short black hair. I am sorry I did not get his name. He was very polite and helpful. I even did not get what I wanted and he made it feel ok. I brought my heat gun in that had just stopped working. It was one of the orange Chicago units and my warranty had elapsed by some time. He helped me find a better one to replace it. I just removed it from the package and it is great. Its the 12 setting Item 69343 unit that automatically cools down. I just wanted to say something nice for a change. There is too many negative thing in our world. Lets focus on the positives. By the way the cashier was awesome and was very colorful. Blue hair and nails and the nicest person I had met that day besides the Supervisor/ Manager. Keep up the good work because i have a crazy attraction for this store. My wife hate it when i go. BW...
Read moreLet me start out by saying that I LOVE Harbor Freight. Generally low priced tools that work for what I use them for. I am usually in a store at least once a week. This location however, is a SH**LE. The lines are ALWAYS at least 4 people long. They never open an additional register when they are busy (they are busy from open to close, everyday), and on the off chance they do, the don't take customers in the order in which they were waiting. Good luck finding anyone in the store area for assistance, as there is no help for you here. Must be their version of the Hunger Games... Call them on the phone, and expect to be placed on hold for eternity, and when someone does finally come to the phone, they will NOT be able to answer your question. I was told I could not use the 20% coupon on an item, so I went to the website, and apply the coupon to my cart with that item in it, and voila!! it works.
