There's an old song by DC Talk called "What if I Stumble?" Their answer is, "...this only serves to confirm my suspicions that I'm still a man in need of a savior." Lately, I've come into contact with two medical practices who've had hundreds of 5-star reviews; this is one of them. The Google star assigned is based on the average of all reviews. The ONLY way for the overall score to be 5-stars is if ALL the reviews are 5-stars. That says it all. This is why Christians walk by faith--what the Bible says--not by sight: because, if the Bible didn't say so, one could honestly believe these people are so good, this practice is so perfect, they don't even need the savior. Sola Scriptura--the only rule for a Christian's faith and practice. That's how I know that somewhere these people are all, despite all evidence to the contrary and my experience with them, sinners saved by grace just like me! Seriously: amazing! I just had weight loss surgery. I was drained. My surgeon, Dr. Chad Carlton, recommended I seek out a hydration bar where I could pay someone to strap me up and pump me full of fluids. The idea of paying someone to put in an IV in me outside of my deathbed in a hospital was totally unappealing. Lately, because I was so dehydrated, many trying to do their job had trouble finding my veins, and that is never fun. Frankly, I was as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Dawn answered the phone at the MedSpa. She was so friendly! I explained everything. I told her other "hydration bars" seemed almost too informal. I liked that they were part of a medical practice. She scheduled the appointment for that day. I went in. Dawn was great, seated me in a comfortable recliner. A nurse checked my veins; she had been on standby to make sure it wouldn't be a hunting expedition to find my veins if I started coming regularly. Stick. Done. Amazing. Perfect. Love them! Choose them! PS. I've been here several times now. These people are awesome! If you need IV hydration, etc., come here! I still believe it's the safest option, especially as its next door to the medical practice...
Read moreToday I visited Dr McKenzie for the 2nd time ever. This time to discuss transferring the care to her of a chronic condition that I’ve had for 20 years now. Needless to say I know a little bit about my condition and what works and what doesn’t seeing as I’ve dealt with it for so long. I’ve been seeing a functional medicine practitioner for 6 months now that specializes in treating this condition and I’ve never felt better. The only reason I considered trying Dr McKenzie is because functional medicine is more expensive and who doesn’t need to save some money nowadays? Big mistake. She took one look at one lab value ignoring the others that matter more, and said she CAN’T keep it this way. I asked what she suggested. She didn’t know, no answer for me. So I asked another question and was then accused of being confrontational and I should just respect her education and years of experience. At this point she hadn’t even let me tell her my history, past symptoms, and explain how much has changed for the better in the past 6 months. In fact she went on to say that how I felt doesn’t matter at all. Imagine having a chronic condition that you’re going to have for the rest of your life and being told it doesn’t matter how you feel. Feel like you are on death’s door every day? No big deal, just live with it. As long as we get this one lab value up less than one point so it is in a particular range. If it makes you feel terrible, so what. At that point I decided it was best to leave because this wasn’t going anywhere. Of course she had to add as I was walking out the door that I might as well go back to my functional medicine doc and spend thousands of dollars. Thanks, I will. This is exactly why people are leaving conventional medicine docs. I definitely do not recommend going here for any sort of chronic condition if you have hopes of someone actually caring about your wellbeing. Most unprofessional doctor...
Read moreI usually see NP Ryann Gille and am very happy with the care she provides. She recently changed my migraine medication, and it has made a huge difference—I'm feeling so much better. I'm also about to start their weight loss program and, for the first time in a while, I feel hopeful about my journey.
The entire office is wonderful. They treat my little one—who I always have to bring with me—with such kindness and patience. The atmosphere is positive and welcoming, they’re quick and efficient, and I love that I can get my labs done right there in the office during my yearly visit.
The phlebotomist (I apologize if that’s not her only credential—I didn’t catch her full title, it all happened so fast!) was very skilled—quick, precise, and efficient. The process was smooth and nearly painless, which I really appreciate.
When I’ve been sick in the past, they take me seriously and never brush off my concerns. I’m able to get the medications that truly help without any hesitation—nothing crazy, I just simply get the medications I know that help me.
I’m usually in and out within an hour or less, which includes parking, getting my little one out, and walking up to the office. I barely sit down in the waiting room before being called back. The only reason it ever takes longer is because I ask a lot of questions and tend to over-explain things.
I missed a few appointments this year due to self-diagnosed "mom-brain," (plus a string of illnesses) but Tatum communicated with me right away and reminded me to reschedule...a...few...times lol face-palm
I always get a call-back quickly when I need to reach the nurse, and they’re super responsive when I need medication authorizations from the pharmacy.
All in all, I’m really happy with my experience here. Everyone’s super helpful, and I always feel taken care of....
