Let me first share that the upfront process with the Heltzel family was professional and pleasant. The floor installation and final results were not. The installers left our home before the job was completed. They left us with tape and glue on the floors, floor moulding that was haphazardly removed and put back on with the wrong supplies (which required us to repair and paint ourselves) and just an overall unacceptable experience. Upon immediately letting the Heltzels know (including over 20 photos), I was told they would send the installers back to clean up. As you can imagine, I no longer wanted those individuals back in my home. Never was I contacted by the Heltzels for a quality inspection during or after my experience. I was very surprised to receive a final invoice for the full amount (without consideration for the unsatisfatory job performed). We spent hours in clean up, repair and painting before being able to move our furniture back into the rooms. Upon suggesting a credit be given for the amount of labor we had to perform, the Heltzels granted a nominal amount. My advice to anyone that utilizes Floor Barn is to ask questions upfront so that you are aware of what the final product will look like. Floor barn is a business I would definitely be using again in the near future. They are very professional and also personable. I needed about 1200sq ft of carpet in our house and they were so accommodating. I had a very short timeline and they came through to install within 2 days. I wanted LVC but learned that process takes at least 48 hours. So we looked at what carpet they had available and it was perfect for what we needed and in the time we needed it. Don was quick with the estimate and the carpet installers did everything to perfection. They also hauled off the old carpet so it wasn't sitting in the front yard. The Floor Barn did an excellent job converting our garden tub into a huge shower. We had an existing shower in our master bath that was just too small and hard to get in and out of the shower door. I did the demo work and they came in and installed the schluter Kerdi system for waterproofing where the tub was. We are going to remove the existing shower at a later date and turn it into a linen closet or something like it. We chose the tile from their store and the prices were very reasonable. They were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and the craftsmanship is excellent.
