Stay away. I’ve had two stereo installs that were botched. The first one they left plastic shavings all over my floorboard (it was not hard to miss, or clean up). The second chance I gave them was worse:

I guess the normal installer was unavailabile, because the manager had to install my second one. It seriously took him 9 hours to install 4 speakers and an amp. When I picked up my vehicle, I had little bass response, and when I complained he quickly offered to trade my amp for a subwoofer with amp for a little bit extra $$. It seemed like he was trying to hide something so I declined the offer and left. A few months later I used the Fader on the stereo for the first time, only to discover the speakers were connected incorrectly. I had fronts on the back channels and vice versa!

I gave them a Second chance because I like to support local business, but when you make a mistake, don’t send the problem down the road and hope that the customer never finds out or complains! Because when he or she does, he or she might just write a negative...

Erik at Vaughn's Mobile Electronics has completely ripped out every factory stereo and component I've had in every car I've owned since I was 20 years old, in a total of 6 different vehicles. Has always done a clean and top notch job and that is why he has earned my loyalty 100% when it comes to anything I can have him to do my vehicles. He even drove 2 hours out of town to an impound yard when I totaled one of my vehicles to do a complete "un"installation so I didn't lose out on my thousands of dollars worth of components. I have and will continue to send him the business of anyone I know looking for any kind of work. His tinter John is also one of the best in the business and done 2 of my vehicles, so it really is your 1 stop shop. I went to Vaughn’s because I got a new car and the sound system was god awful. It was so quiet I could hear myself singing which is not fun for anyone. I was also missing a lot of bass and it just wasn’t cutting it. He looked over my car and gave me an estimate, showed me his suggestions, and wasn’t pushy when it came to make a decision.

I took the estimate home and googled stuff bc I know nothing. I called him a few times and he patiently answered all of my questions. I went to a few other places in town and no one could beat his prices either.

Ultimately, I got everything installed and it was honestly better than expected. I had a grin ear to ear when he showed me everything.

Plus, he’s incredibly kind, professional, and great customer service. I hope to work with him again...
