Recently, the owners of Coco Co. Bar Trailer, along with an associate, committed theft at The Jasmine Bar. After stealing an expensive allocated tequila bottle, they were identified on our cameras, both visually and through audio. The footage shows all three women complicit: one covering staff, one carrying a large purse, and all of them openly discussing which bottle would be “best” to take. This was not impulsive behavior — it was coordinated and intentional.
When contacted, I gave them every opportunity to resolve the matter quietly by compensating for the bottle and the lost revenue. They refused. When they returned with the bottle, it had already been opened and partially consumed (approximately one-quarter), rendering it unsellable. At our cocktail bar price of $40 per ounce, this represented approximately $1,000 in lost revenue.
Rather than accept responsibility, they attempted to excuse their actions by claiming they had been “overserved.” This is a baseless and insulting defense, especially in light of the footage showing them soberly coordinating the theft. Being intoxicated is never an excuse for stealing — and in this case, the evidence shows deliberate planning.
When confronted, they became aggressive and vulgar, refusing to take accountability. Once informed that police would be called, they fled. Law enforcement later located them, and they were charged with theft.

Once discovered, I reached out and gave them an opportunity to resolve the matter quietly and professionally. I asked for $500 — less than half of what that bottle would have generated in revenue at our bar ($40 per ounce, roughly $1,000 total). This was not only fair, it was lenient.
They refused. Instead, they tried to justify theft by claiming they had been “overserved,” a baseless and insulting excuse disproven by the footage showing their calculated actions. They then tried to turn the situation around by accusing me of extortion, despite the fact that they had been caught red-handed.
When they eventually returned the bottle, it had already been opened and consumed, leaving it worthless. They became vulgar, refused to pay any restitution, and fled the premises once police were called. They were ultimately caught and charged with theft.
