Wow, amazing experience, and FOOD......... We are from Dallas and planning a small intimate wedding in Breckenridge for December 13, 2020. We were a little nervous due to not knowing what each week would bring during a pandemic. As our fears came true we had to postpone to February. Trust me, I talked to every restaurant in Breckenridge, and it was becoming difficult customizing what we wanted. When I finally started to talk with Sue she made what we wanted possible. I am an Interior Designer here in Dallas and very familiar with doing local events, but doing a out of town event was stressful. Sue was great to talk to the many many MANY times and made it very easy to work with, especially during a pandemic. She was confident that everything would be perfect, and she was right. We had our intimate wedding dinner at the Pioneer Club, but before the BIG event we had them caterer a Fiesta Buffet at the house that we were all staying at. That really set the tone on what a treat we were all going to have for our wedding. The fajita bar was soooo good, and we had plenty of left overs for lunches. Wedding day. Set up was early in the morning and a breeze to work with Patrick on a few things. Then while we were at Sapphire Point getting married the rest of the crew started setting up the event, and the bar had all our favorites. Had yummy horderves during cocktail hour while taking pictures, then later a plated dinner. When planning the food, Sue worked with our guest needs effortlessly on her end. I also am a foodie, and she approved my request to have a beet salad topped with goat cheese and carmalized pecans. I had 2 guest that don't like beets, and they had a beautiful dinner salad for them. Also I am totally over having boring dinner rolls at events, and I requested a smoked gouda and fig scone. What a hit. Then we had one of the best lobster bisque soups topped with a large claw meat. Honestly hands down the best lobster bisque. For the plated dinner, some guest had one of the best bacon wrapped filet mignon that literally melted in your mouth. My new husband loves his steaks and he kept saying that was amazing filet. Remember we are from Texas and steaks are eaten at least once a week here. Also there was scallops and gorgeous long stemmed carrots that accompanied the steaks. For the pescatarian in the group, they had a scottish lemon salmon also with scallops and carrots. All food was eaten and we got to take the extras home. The scones made a wonderful breakfast too. The Chef, Andre, is amazing. I had him come out to our group so we could give him a round of applaud. Everyone loved everything. The staff was so wonderful and very professional. I'm sure they laughed at our goofy song selections. I really felt that our guest were really treated like a 5 star restaurant. Thank you Sue and Crew for making our wedding during a pandemic one of the most memorable events ever. Seamless. Each year we ski and will be contacting Black Diamond for future catering. I hope you find my review helpful. They really love what they do and you can tell they care about making you happy with no worries. Thank you from the bottom of our Cloud Nine hearts- Lea and Chris

Wow! The experience I had with Andre at Black Diamond was awful! At first he seemed so sweet and promised us the world. Though we had other cheaper quotes we went with him because he seemed like he would be the easiest to work with. As the event got closer it became apparent that he was very overwhelmed. To start he never did know the brides name. He was confused on several occasions, even calling the bride at 11:30 night worried that he double booked because of the name confusion. When calling to confirm,it was discovered that he had made a mistake on his linen orders. Instead of dealing with the himself he ordered the bride herself to miss a pre-wedding family event and pick up the linens herself in Denver. When challenged he proceeded to scream at the brides Daughter on speaker phone in front of the whole family. When she tried to smooth things over he continued screaming, telling her that quote, "YOUR LITTLE DINNER MEANS NOTHING TO ME." He also continued to say how he was not going to deal with this "EMOTIONAL BULLS##T" and that her "LITTLE LUNCH" should not be more important than the event. He threatened to cancel on several occasions. With just days until the event and many pre-wedding events planned we decided to go with Andre. The groom asked Andre in person to apologies to his daughter and with that promise proceeded to pay him over $100 a head for our dinner. Andre never even tried to apologies and when I went out to the kitchen to discuss things with him he as gone. We are not even sure if he was the cook at our event. Andre was a nightmare and based on his horrible idea of what customer service looks like and his dislike of 'emotion' I am feeling like the wedding business is probably not his best choice. I try to only write positive reviews but if I can save one bride and groom from dealing with such madness and grief it is worth it. The food is good but not worth the money or mental energy Andre Hampton takes. If he is so busy than make sure you dinner or receptions doesn't "just another dinner." We have waited over a week for a call from Andre to apologize but to our dismay he took our money and that was the end of that. Your wedding is a big day for you as is should be fore anyone you hire. Denver and Summit county has several caterers that are so much greater. I highly recommend using the Gourtmet Cowboy out of Minturn or Biscuits and Berries out...

OUTSTANDING service. From A to Z, our experience with Black Diamond Gourmet was impressive, classy, and of course, delicious. We hired them for our wedding, and it is one of our favorite decisions that we made. We had both been to many weddings, from buffet style to served dinners, and we wanted the served dinner option. We were completely blown away by the level of class and service that Black Diamond presented - way above our expectations, which were set fairly high.

Our guests enjoyed steak and trout, were served appetizers from trays being carried around the room, and the staff were even gracious enough to bring our drinks to our tables, which added another classy touch to the night.

We worked with Andre and Paul the most and found them both to be superior at what they do. We had a meeting the day before to make sure menu and drink items were all sorted, Paul spent time with our best man (who was with us when we created our drink menu) to make sure the recipes were the best they could be. This was an immense pressure off of our shoulders, allowing us to focus on other things while our friend acted as our proxy.

Paul was ridiculously outstanding at the reception, juggling who knows how many things while seeming cool as a cucumber. He also went above and beyond in the days following the wedding, trying, on our behalf, to take care of an unforeseen mini-crisis that came up after we had left for our honeymoon, again working with our best man so as to not bother us with the problem while on vacation.

From the little bit of interaction I had with the other staff members (it was a whirlwind of a night), I found them to also be incredibly helpful, sweet and professional.

I am seriously impressed with Black Diamond Gourmet; we wanted a classy reception, and they presented something well beyond our expectations. They made us feel like a king and queen, which added just another level of magic to our...
