Cakes & Company — Restaurant in Lake George

Sadly couldn't post a review with zero stars. My mom just purchased cupcakes through this "company", almost $300 worth, and although some looked okay others did not. The cupcakes that should have been filled were plain with melted and droopy frosting leaveing not only the cupcakes surrounding them but also the half made box a mess. After contacting them about this issue they seemed rather concerned and wanted to make it right! But all good things have to come to an end as they said to come in and they would refund the money to us but as my mom went back in they did not refund the full money and accused us of dropping them! Would not recommend at all to anyone. The cake and cupcakes that were bought were for me and my sisters graduation and is not something we could do again as we were left dissatisfied. Never met such a rude employee in my life as the manager doesnt seem to care at all what her products look like if she still receives the check at the end. Good Afternoon! Recently I was honored to taste a superb carrot cake at Cakes & Company made by Eva for a very special employee luncheon. The cake was the perfect delicacy of old fashioned spice, carrots, cream, and nuts. Every morsel pleasantly awakened my palate and took me back to a time in my youth when my great grandmother baked her carrot cakes for our neighbors. Since she passed from Alzheimer's disease I missed this amazing sensory experience, and the love she should me through food . I am very picky about where I buy or eat Carrot cake but without reservation this Carrot Cake by Eva is TOP-NOTCH! Thank you for giving me that moment in time where I had an amazing memory of my great-grandmother's home with an aroma of carrot cake. The was challenging thing about those recipes made by our family is they we're made with love. We were so fortunate to find such a talented bakery staff who prepared some of the most wonderful cupcakes we’ve had in ages!

We ordered a variety of the large Cakes & Company cupcakes for a weekend birthday party. What a treat! Not only were they big and generously frosted and decorated, but they were moist and wonderfully delicious! The adults all loved the different flavors and fillings and styles, but the real test was the kids. And they LOVED them!

We bought a large cupcake ‘tree’ stand, and the big cupcakes filled it perfectly, all slanted facing out. It was fun watching the kids walk into the room and see the cupcake tree for the first time! Lit up with candles in each cupcake, it was even more spectacular!
