The Wasatch/ Summit Co. ReStore located in Park City is FANTASTIC. Clientele include contractors, realtors, housewives, decorators etc. We were referred by someone who actively works for consignment stores. He gave us a few referrals and told us to go regularly to the Park City ReStore. This takes patience, preparation and time but it is a fun experience ! On our trips we found many great items including headboards, couches, upholstered chairs, a sleeper sofa, small tables, a desk, lamps, a recliner etc. The one challenge is moving items... Also the ReStore 3 day "buy it and move it " policy can require many phone calls when movers are in demand. This can become expensive. ReStore shopping requires quick decisions... people may hover over the same item...bring your ideas, wish list & measurements and decide carefully and quickly. No returns ! Some days are great like a treasure hunt especially when a large luxury homeowner has just donated everything ! They get a tax deduction and shoppers can luck out. Other days we have purchased small items like blenders, paint supplies, outlet covers, pyrex, vintage housewares and artwork... things that fit in the car. We also donate items that are in good condition that others might find useful and w a donation slip there is a coupon and incentive to keep coming back. All the employees are friendly, excellent, helpful, courteous, industrious and welcoming. They function as a Team. Everyone is in constant motion keeping up the store and using their gifts &willingness. Their varied gifts compliment one another. Cody, the manager is kind, helps research items and prices fairly to keep things moving. Rick receives the items, thanks the donors and with his creative merchandising background & artistic skills arranges the donated furniture & lighting in vignettes like they have in department stores. In California the ReStores we shop are mostly cabinets, doors, toilets and appliances. The Summit Wasatch ReStore is simply the best shopping in terms of furniture selection and customer service. They also have housewares, artwork, cabinets, doors etc. There would be more if they had a larger space. Cody, Rick, Jeff, Ashley, Mckenna, Tina and Caleb... Thank You for caring for the customers and supporting the Habitat for Humanity vision for affordable housing in Summit/Wasatch county. The items we purchased have made our local home beautiful and more comfortable again on a budget. This place is an...
Read moreUpdate after the storeâs reply: Iâve read through a few other reviews for this location and itâs very clear that the management has an ego issue and doesnât understand how to handle customer complaints in an effective way. Iâve worked in multiple customer service positions and itâs appalling the amount of disrespect the management has for customers, and honestly shocking they still have a job here despite it. Dropping to one star because they 1) didnât resolve my issue directly (âtalking to staffâ doesnât mean much) and 2) apologized that I âfeel this wayâ instead of taking accountability. Really disappointing since I loved supporting this store up until now.
Usually LOVE this place for their prices and great finds. However, Iâve been really disappointed lately with their customer service.
Today I purchased a baby changing pad labeled for $20. There were two next to each other on a shelf and they both had the same label and price. When I got to the register, the employee charged me $40 because it had been mislabeled. I explained to her that both of the changing pads were tagged the same and she became pretty defensive about the price being higher. She went to another area of the store and found the same changing pad that had been labeled âcorrectlyâ at $40. Most stores in my experience would have honored the price due to the labeling being the fault of the employees, not the customer. Iâm a little frustrated because the whole reason I wanted the changing pad in the first place was because I was saving money on it compared to the one I wanted to buy off Amazon, which allows free returns (while obviously this store does not).
They also donât allow you to try on clothes but then hike up the price of their clothing without allowing returns. Itâs hard to know if an item is worth your money if you canât even try it on. Iâm pregnant so itâs especially difficult for me to know what works and what doesnât right now. The whole point of a store like this is to help consumers find items at thrift store prices. I love the sentiment behind this store as well as the great finds, but I canât believe the lack of customer care they provide here as well as the lack of logic behind their pricing. I miss the days of this being a...
Read moreUpdate! I did not expect an apology, when reading the comments of other customers I realize that it is normal, in response to the clarifications, I have been a customer since 2022, so I am not lying, previously I bought 2-piece swimsuits for $2 for a long time, as for The blocking of my card is because its terminal fails and the lady who charges does not accept that it is a failure and because it is passed more than once, my bank blocks it for security, when I ask her to pay inside, she thinks I am going to steal or something So and that bothers me and more than it does in front of so many people, now I consider myself a good customer, and as for the costs, I know a lot about that, I am a frequent DISCOUNT customer WHOLESALERS, INC Via Trading, among other large wholesalers where I buy merchandise per pallet for $0.75 or less, I am not impressed by your prices, in Utah there are many stores where you can find $1 new clothes, I like to support and find treasures for personal use and I will continue . attending, but take care of your clientele and accept their mistakes!
Terrible service, this is the second time they have blocked my card because they do not have connection in the terminal for purchases of $2, previously they never opened the packages and now a swimsuit costs me $4, it is a theft, I prefer to buy in other stores I have been buying the same clothes for two years for $2 and without warning they open the packages that are sealed and count as 2 a simple swimsuit costs $4, they should have a notice...
