So much potential... If only a little effort was exerted.
Extra foam cappuccino, had no foam at all, but the milk was still burned. What was most surprising, steam wands are not cleaned in-between orders, allowing for bacteria to build up and effect the flavor of future drinks.
Steaming and foaming milk here is done with the set and forget mentality. No attention to detail or quality. By set and forget, I mean, turn on steam, and walk away, not at all proper steaming technique.
Coffee shops that really focus on quality, generally use a bottomless filter, but AMC co. does not. Pour spouts on the bottom of the portafilter are there to hide improperly ground coffee and bad tamping techniques. Tasting the espresso seconds the bad techniques. You can visually hide lack of effort, but an improperly extracted espresso, cannot be hidden.
With Tarbucks only a short 2 minute walk away, I really hope Arizona Mountain Coffee can rise to their full potential, I know the friendly staff is more than capable.
Social media tactics?? I'm a coffee shop owner in a different state, I know coffee. I have family in Snow Flake, and visit several times each year. I have met you, in person, as the owner,...
Read moreWe ordered our wedding cake from one of the workers here. He seemed very professional and we saw some of his work before we decided to go with him. Our first hint that it wasnât going to be good was when he said âwe can squeeze in another cake that dayâ. So our wedding comes and we had everything set up. We were really excited for the cake that we paid for and tipped 10% for ($600) it showed up and didnât look like what we wanted at all. It was a neon yellow when we asked for pastel. Fondant Instead of buttercream. The yellow was air brushed on into an ombrĂ© when we asked for dots closer together on the bottom and more dispersed on top to make an ombrĂ© effect. The worst was that he used real yellow roses cascading down when we asked for molding chocolate roses, Delphinium, and babies breath. Obviously the worker had a lot of talent. The cake was good, but it wasnât the breathtaking cake that we asked for and were so excited for after paying so much. There were next to none details that he got right. Very disappointing especially for our...

We dropped in for a coffee while heading up to Greer. The shop is in a little strip and set off the road a bit. The shop has a nice, welcoming environment with several tables and some comfy seating. They serve coffee and tea drinks, as well as sandwiches and sweets.
We had a vanilla latte, a traditional chai latte and a very nice piece of red velvet cake. All were delicious. We ended up going back two more times and on the third ordered a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin, and a breakfast burrito. Both were very good. The burrito was premade and microwaved, so it was a little chewy, but man was it tasty. Eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, potatoes and hatch chile. Served with a side of salsa.
The folks behind the counter were VERY nice and even offered some suggestions for our trip to the mountains. Thanks for the great food...
