Horrible Experience!!! I rarely if ever write a review. An excellent tip is my preferred review for service well done. My daughter, daughter in law and myself had appointments for pedicures and gel manicures requesting Disney art for our visit to Disney World. The pedicures were fine, although they did not have the color of my choosing and the young man could understand little of what I said. He could not find a comparable color. I was then handed off to another technician, a young girl who was in a great hurry. She constantly tapped my phone telling me to make a decision regarding art work. I wanted to discuss it with her, but she was in a rush and just wanted me to decide something. When I asked her questions, she was short. I told her I did not like my toenail color so I didn’t want my nails to be that color and I wanted a different color for both I would pay for having my toes repainted. She brought over many colors, but didn’t seem to understand the color that I was requesting. At one point, she said I have customers or I have clients something to that effect…. Decide! She did not remove the polish from my toenails, simply painted one coat over top of the old. I am 70 years old and have had countless manicures and pedicures and never in my life have encountered this disrespect and rudeness. She had me in tears. Upon leaving and paying, I was still tearful, and my daughter stepped up and told the person I believe who is the manager about the situation and she said it’s cultural. I don’t think being rude is cultural. Then the manager said, maybe she’s having a bad day. And maybe she was. But it is no excuse to treat a client as I was treated. Insult to injury….when I paid with my card the final amount was $246 and change. There was no offer of compensation for the obvious poor service rendered by this young woman. Later when looking at my non-itemized receipt, the charge was $266!!!! An extra $20 for what??
Alert!!! It is now October 2025. As you can see when you read the reviews, the company responded to me and asked me to reach out to them to make things right. I have reached out several times via this avenue and once via Instagram and it has been radio silence. I have not heard a thing from management. There has been absolutely nothing attempted to make this right. This is no way to run a business and for me, this is evidence that their customers and the services they provide are not a priority at all. Responding to my review looks good on paper. But there was absolutely no follow-through on their part. Nothing has...
Read moreI visited in style nails and spa to get a pedicure and my nails done.
I got a gel pedicure and dip powdered nails.
I didn’t have an appointment, but I didn’t have to wait too long to be seen. The Owner Tim, took me to his chair and proceeded to do my nails. I was very happy with his work. He took his time and was gentle. The color I chose was perfect. It’s number 429 if you’re interested.
When my nails were done I was seated at the pedicure station and the person who did my toes was, Amber. The one thing I would say is that she’s a very sweet girl, but she talks a lot. In the middle of her putting on my gel polish, I started to realize that my toes were not turning out the same color as my nails. They were a little lighter in color. I asked her to put another coat on which she did, but she also told me that they’re not the same color so it’s not going to turn out the same. I was annoyed at this point because I would’ve appreciated it if she had told me this before she started applying the color. I believe she said number 729 would have matched my nails.
Next time I book my appointment, I will try someone else for my pedicure because I would like a more relaxing, spa experience.
Make sure to look over their menu and be prepared to pay exactly for what you want. I missed the extra five-dollar charge for custom nail shopping. I got the almond shape and when I saw my bill I was a bit confused as to what that charge was for. After they explained it to me I was fine to pay it.
It’s a well-decorated and clean salon. It’s best to make an appointment because they stay busy, especially during the holidays.
UPDATED REVIEW* After giving them a 4 star review, I've now changed it to 2 stars.
I will not be returning to this nail salon. During my last appointment, I expressed my concern to Llewyann, the shop manager, about my nail technician being late for the second time in a row. However, I was disappointed by her response as she became defensive and made excuses for his behavior. She compared nail technicians to doctors and said that lateness is to be expected.
To make matters worse, the gel nail polish that was applied during my appointment started to come off the very next day. When I went to another salon to have the polish changed/corrected, they informed me that it happened because the gel nail polish did not dry completely.
After my conversation with Llewyann the vibe of the entire salon turned sour. It's unfortunate because I was beginning to...
Read moreI have been coming to this place for a long time and never had a problem. Today was the first time I’ve ever left very very upset and upset enough where I will not be returning ever again! I came in and I said you know I’ll get a pedicure it’s been a very long time since I’ve had one let’s go for it. I got it done no issues. I also needed a full set they said it would be a wait…that’s no problem I was patient at the time. So finally a young guy took care of me and he already seemed to be in a very bad mood. Complaining about personal life…complaining about other nail techs…and was angry why the front people made me wait so long for a full set! I showed him a picture of exactly what I wanted. Shorter length Stilletto nails. I did not get what I wanted. Many nails were crooked all were uneven. And not what the picture displayed. The entire session was completely uncomfortable in the conversations he was trying to have with me. I told the front counter ladies and they insisted I wait for Amy to fix them and speak to her about how the appointment went. I now waited even longer to be taken care of people Amy was finishing up a client. When she finally started to fix them they were so bad she had to completely redo the acrylic and gel Polish. I was there for 5 hours!!! And apparently there was nail tech drama that they shouldn’t have openly put on the clients. By the time Amy finally finished I was fed up with how much time I wasted I just wanted to finish and leave! Finally getting back to the counter to look at the finished nails I was still not happy. The shape was better but there was blue around my cuticle and the gel top coat didn’t fully dry in some spots! I asked if they were able to do anything about the price because of the inconvenience and they said no! They made me pay. This was the very first time in all my years of getting my nails done professionally that I didn’t tip! I also being in the tipping world understand the tipping world. I always tip. But for me to not tip that means I was very very unhappy when I left! I wasn’t expecting to pay nothing but I shouldn’t have had to pay for my nails at least the full set because I had to spend 5 hours where someone being in a bad mood and taking it out on me that’s not right! I will not be back to this...
