After reading the prior reviews I was hesitant to visit or purchase a trailer from Jacobsen. After looking at a lot of utility trailers locally, and not finding what we were looking for, my husband and I decided to pay them a visit. Boy am I glad we did!

The customer service was EXCELLENT. The manager, Chris, could not have provided better service. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient as we asked questions. We visited on a Saturday and he was the only salesperson working. That being said, he handled multiple customers at the same time, giving each of us the attention we needed and allowing us to browse the lot and inspect the trailers alone when we wanted to do that.

Once we selected a trailer the staff went over it to insure there were no unseen problems. We forgot our light converter (7 way to 4 flat) and Chris hooked us up with one from his well supplied parts shop. Another staff member handled the paperwork and we rolled out with the trailer we came in to purchase, at the price we wanted to pay. The business is clean with free beverages (hot and cold) and nice restrooms.

We mentioned the previous bad reviews we read on Yelp to Chris. He explained the ownership/management changed in early 2015 and "Eric" and most of his staff no longer worked there.

If you were in Central California and you are looking for a top level place to up, fit your chassis, cab truck or to purchase a trailer and you want to be treated properly and professionally then you need to go see Derek Ash at Big Tex Trailers in Fowler California. This guy is the best Representative that this company could possibly have. It would be a disservice to call him a sales person. He’s not a pushy sales person in the slightest. He listened to what I was looking for and politely showed me around and showed me the different Options available to me for my particular truck. I was able to make a decision right away and thanks to Derek’s patience and help. I was able to purchase this truck and have it installed the same day which was absolutely amazing. At this point I should point out that the installer Mitchell Osborn did such an amazing job installing this bed on my truck it was like he did truck I can’t think the two of these gentlemen enough and have already recommended them to a number of friends and business associates. They also have a very large selection of accessories for the truck bed which I will be purchasing this week and will look forward to seeing Derek again. I would love to leave zero stars but here is one star because thats the lowest I can give. I have shared and will continue to share how bad our experience was today. We showed up looking for a 6x12 open utility trailer. We were ready to buy (cash) BUT "Eric" is such an a-hole! For no reason, I asked a few questions and he looked like he was disgusted by my presence. He was short and very mute. I'm a business owner in business attire with a fancy car and he looked at me like I was dirt. He drove his go cart like he wanted to throw us off of it. My wife made a comment about his driving and he gave an awful response. HOW ARE YOU IN BUSINESS JACOBSON??? Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
