My appointment was the Saturday after Thanksgiving at the Adventist in Fowler. After I registered I ask the receptionist if the provider was running on time. She said he was about an hour behind. I said “no problem” and I took a seat where I was instructed. A male Medical Assistant called me back, took my vitals, asks if I have my radiological CDs with me. I said no, I thought they would be sent over along with the referral. He excuses himself, goes and talks to the provider. When the MA returned I told him I could reschedule get the CDs and come back prepared. He said, the doctor stated he needs to order new X-rays so he would need to see me first and talk to me. So I returned to the waiting room to wait. About 45 minutes passed by and the same male Medical Assistant opens the door and calls another patient in. I approached him and asked him if I had enough time to run out to my car to get my drink. He said “yes, of course. Got right ahead”. While I was out at my car they called my name to go back into a room. I received a phone call from a lady inside the facility asking if I had left. I replied no, that I was walking back into the facility and explained to her that I had asked the male MA if I could go get my drink from my car and that he said I could. So the lady instructs me to have a seat and that they would be calling me right back. After I waited for 15 minutes I approached the reception desk concerned because they haven’t called me back yet. I explained to her what happened and She gets up and goes to the back office to see what’s going on. She returns and says “ have a seat, as soon as they get the exam room cleaned they’ll be calling you in”. So I take a seat and wait another 15 minutes, nobody has called my name to be put in a room. So I return to the reception area and when the receptionist sees me she says “they haven’t called you back yet?”. I reply and request for my appointment to be rescheduled at this time, I feel like they’ve skip over me because I wasn’t there when they first called my name. While the receptionist was in the process of rescheduling my appointment, my name finally gets called along with someone else’s. I approach the female MA and in front of this other patient she asks me my name and to give her my DOB(wrong). Proceeds to walk us both down the hall, points at a closed door, then points at me and says “your in this room” and proceeds to walk with the other patient into the next exam room. I open the door and the exam room is DIRTY!! I turn around, walk out of the exam room and I’m standing in the hallway. She comes out of the exam room I’m suppose to be in and repeats “your going to be in this room, while she’s crumbling the exam room paper in her hands” I’m pretty upset at this point. I ask the MA “ how many patients are ahead of me?”. She replies “3” confirming that FACT that they pushed patients AHEAD of me. So I told the MA that i wasn’t going to wait any longer. That I wanted to reschedule my appointment. She proceeds to puts her hand on her hip and says “ no matter when you come in your going to wait! But do what you want!” By this time I’m FURIOUS! I walk back out to the receptionist who had been very kind and helpful, explain to her what happened and she rescheduled my appointment. Never have I EVER been treated like this at ANY facility that I’ve been to. I communicated with the male MA, and I was passed up due to the MAs lack of communication! I waited over an hour and a half before being placed into a DIRTY exam room and told there were 3 patients still ahead of me. The attitude of the female MA was completely unacceptable and unprofessional to say the least. If I can suggest ANYTHING that would be to retrain your Medical Assistants. They lack skill when it comes to patient care and communication! I will not be seeing the provider until next week. Im hoping my experience will be completely different from...
Read moreI don't even know where to start! I've tried giving this place plenty of chances and every single time I've been seen here its horrible to say the least! My first visit was concerning my ovarian cyst and PCOS and was diagnosed with PCOS. My follow up appointment she said I didn't have it and was told I was fine and that I was just harry and had nothing even though I had already been diagnosed. Later that day the doctor called me (Dr. Evangelina Nunez) and left a voice message saying she had put down on my chart I did have PCOS.
I went back to this doctor for a women's physical and was hurt really bad, I was clearly in pain throughout the procedure and Dr. Nunez had the audacity to ask if I really was in pain.
I went back to Dr. Nunez and told her I was suffering from Anxiety and she asked me what kind of symptoms I was having. I told her that a lot of women with PCOS struggle with Anxiety due to the hormonal imbalance and she said no that's not true, when its clearly been proven to be true. After she prescribed me my medication she told me she couldn't believe I had anxiety because I was so calm (you cant tell if anyone has anxiety just by looking at them). She told me to take 1 pill a day and if I was still having anxiety by the 5th day to take 2, which I stared doing after my 5th day. Long story short I ran out of the pills before my prescription was refilled since she only had gave me 30 pills and I was taking 2 a day. I called Adventist everyday for a week until they finally refilled my medication.
Went back for a follow up on my anxiety medication and waiting more than 50 minutes to be seen, after I was finally taken to a room waited another 15-20 minutes for her to come in, I told her I gained about 10 lbs in that month and I believed it was because of the medication and that I hadn't been eating any different ( I did my research on this particular medication and it stated that you may gain more than 10lbs when taking it) and she just said eat less!!! That was the last straw!
NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS...
Read moreMy feeling toward this clinic is very complicated. I like this place because the clinic is really clean and modern. The doctors and staffs are very friendly and helpful. I never had issue with staff members.
However, I have to leave this clinic and go to somewhere else for business because they’re poor scheduling system and long waiting time. They never answered the phone in short time. Everytime you called, either long waiting time or ask to call back which they don’t call back sometime or call you back next day. They didn’t call me back at least twice in the past. It’s hard to get the appointment with close date. When you ask for an appointment, they always schedule you few weeks later. When you asked if you can be seen sooner, the response is always the appointment is full. They don’t have availability. The clinic wait time is ridiculous/unreasonable long when the clinic is not busy at all/less patient in the waiting area.
Last time, I called was when my baby had fever. They told me they can't see my baby until 2 weeks later. I called United Health Center in Selma on Floral Ave, and was able to get an appointment in next time. United Health Center is busier than this one and I don't understand why this Clinic has problem to see the patient.
I took my dad to this clinic for his senior Covid shot on Friday 1/06/23 due to his insurance assigned to this Clinic. I was told that he need to schedule an appointment for that shot. There is no front desk person to schedule an appointment, so I have to call the number. When I called, it was a long waiting. I requested a call back but they never did.
The clinic wait time is always 45-60 minutes. Sometime the wait time is 1.5 hour but you don’t see full house of people/patients. The clinic is empty most of time/day. My dad’s annual checkout appointment waiting time was 45 minutes when our appointment was 8am and there was one patient in front us.
This place seems like don't want to do...
