I booked a few massages here recently while family was visiting and didn’t have the best experience. Firstly, the booking process was rushed and quite unpleasant. The person who answered the phone didn’t ask for a name for the reservation, what type of massages we wanted, and didn’t ask how long for each massage. They just rushed us off the phone. When we arrived, the rushed attitude continued as I was quickly asked to pay for the massages (with tips). I was then placed into a room with no confirmation of my preference/service. During my massage, my masseuse answered a phone call and left my room with the door open 2-3 times. My family experienced similar interruptions. Highly unprofessional.
The quality of my “deep tissue” massage was mediocre and rushed. I didn’t even get their signature hot stone treatment that they normally do. My massage time was poorly spent on repetitive light rubbing, phone call by my masseuse, and my masseuse leaving the room with the door open multiple times. After my massage, I was forcefully told to leave an additional tip because my masseuse claimed she gave me “a great massage”. I stuck with my original tip and left.
I won’t be returning to this location. A piece of advice for Asian hot stone: train your workers to slow down and be more thorough with your customers. Good customer service goes a long way. Also, you’re not owed a tip automatically. Tips are earned based on your performance. If someone tips you, it can be perceived as rude & unprofessional to demand a higher tip. Especially if the services rendered were paid for and the service/experience you provided wasn’t...
Read moreI’ve had massages at many different places, but I felt a bit disappointed when I came here. The staff only rubbed and stroked, without pressing on the pulse points, which I found lacking. It seemed like they were rushing through the session, and the quality of the massage was poor. My appointment was set for 1:10 PM, but they finished at 2:00 PM, which is less than 60 minutes.
In terms of price, it’s cheaper here, and I don’t expect much for that price, but I do hope the staff could take their work more seriously.
Response to the owner’s reply: You can’t just say that every place is different. What I mean is that the approach here felt unfocused and unprofessional. If you justify it by saying your service has been running for years, then explain why my session was only 50 minutes. You didn’t even ask me for my name or the type of service I wanted before entering the room. As an introvert, I don't like to complain to employees while they're working, but I also don’t appreciate being called and asked for a refund. I respectfully disagree with that request. I paid for the service and I respect the staff, but I wasn’t satisfied with the rushed way they worked.
What your spa should do is apologize and accept mistakes rather than justifying sloppy work by claiming years of experience. Thank you for your response, but I won’t be returning.
Initially, I rated the spa 3 stars, meaning it was okay, but based on the owner's response, I’ve downgraded my rating to 1 star because I’m not...
Read moreI setup an appointment to get a message for today. It was for $75 deep tissue massage. When I arrived, the receptionist suggested that I get a $10 essential oil treatment, which I agreed to. The message therapist was great, no issue with her. When it was time to pay, the receptionist said that I had to pay a tip. I was planning on paying a tip anyways because I enjoyed the service. I told her that I'll give a $5 tip, and she said that it has to be $10. I asked her where it says in writing. She said that since the massage therapist did a good job, I need to pay $10. I feel like if they wanted a higher price, they should have been upfront about it from the beginning. I paid the $10 tip to avoid confrontation. She then gave me some candy saying that I should take it with me and that it is Chinese candy and to give her a 5 star review on Google. I wouldn't have a problem giving a 5 star review if I wasn't pressured to pay additional in tip. I would not come...
