I visited this location about 2 wks ago now and I haven't been able to shake the disappointment (in myself) off yet.
Upon arrival to the establishment and its rather dismal outward appearance, I couldn't help but think "Is this place still in business?"...Unfortunately it was.
I slipped in only to conclude that between the exterior, interior, kitchen, & bathroom (which...no lie...stunk up the whole store of strong urine) only their Long beautiful 12 top table along w/the 55" TV playing music on theme to the cuisine were appealing attributes.
Good size portions Parking available Accessible entrance
The menu which appears to be worlds better than the actual product, didn't match the prices I was told when asking about specific meals. The staff were unsanitary The staff wanted to rush me, though I was alone in the restaurant mid afternoon on a weekday. The food was unenjoyable
...and worst of all, I am embarrassed to say that I bypassed all of these red flags b/c I was Hangry and tried to give an ethnic restaurant in a lame neighborhood a shot just to regret it for weeks. At Best, the Staff is the issue. At worst, it's everything else. Hopefully they either get it...
Read moreCozy 50ish seat restaurant with Peruvian food including pupusas, ceviches, steaks, and seafood dishes. They serve beer and wine. On my first visit I ordered shrimp ceviche and saltado vegetales. The ceviche is lemon juice base with cilantro and red onion. I received 10 shrimp in my order, which is a larger portion than I would expect. The ceviche also came with corn and sweet potato. It also came with a small side of a [very] hot sauce if you wanna spice things up. The portion is large enough for 2-4 to share or to have as a main course. The vegetales saltado is a stir fry mix up of broccoli, carrots, peppers, onions, peas and cilantro - served over French fries with a side of rice. Great authentic Peruvian spice and flavor on this dish, large enough for two to share. The only bummer to my visit was they had already sold out of rotisserie chicken (I came at 7pm on a Saturday). I will visit again soon to try other ceviches and I look forward to tasting their different seafood soups once the...
Read moreWe came here for lunch based on the reviews that said that the place was ok. Not true. The food is terrible. The ceviche was bland and the amount of fish was very little. The picante de mariscos had a very mediocre flavor and the sauce is not what you would expect from this dish (normally it would be creamy, with chili flavor and tasty), while the rice that came on the plate was of bad quality. The causa rellena had lots of mayo, no avocado, a very little potato. It seemed that the ingredients used in to prepare these dishes were of low quality and we could tell that some of the ingredients were not made at that moment (for example, the fried fish and the seafood from the picante the mariscos felt that they were cooked in the morning or the night before). It is too bad that Peruvian food is being misrepresented by this restaurant. Probably people have not experienced what Peruvian food should taste like, but for me this restaurant is doing a...
