PORTALES RESTAURANT 'DOES NOT' EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR!

We went to Portales last night -- it happened to be MY FIRST time to visit portales! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with one of the servers! It took her forever to take our order, took her forever to serve our drinks and food, by the time our food got to our table - the food was cold, the food also tasted nasty and gummy. We stayed for 2-3 hours because our good friend was performing with a live band. (april11). We decided to leave the event a little early because we had to go work early morning. We called our server NUMEROUS TIMES!!! She kept sayin she will be right back ---= NEVER HAPPENED! After 30 mins of waiting to close our tab - we decided to leave CASH with extra for a good tip on top of the table and told our friend we will be leaving for the night! ANYWAY, we got home - we were already sleeping and our server calls us ? HARASSING US saying that we never paid her a single cent - when we left her cash! SHe then tells every single one of our friends -which we do not appreciate! I don't mind - but to be harassed and lied about it is absolutely FOUL! So wrong!

PORTALES is a joke! They need to hire servers that are not rude, I think the servers name is sarah. she worked the night of april 11 - she had long hair. horrible experience! will make sure that this gets out.

ALSO, portales itself and had violated ABC law on serving alcohol! I don't think the Alcohol Beverage Control Commission...

Worst service ever. Waited over 40 minutes to get the check and we had to get the manager to grab the check who made sure to add the tip on there without a care. Would recommend avoiding this place going forward. I've been in this town for 20 years and came to this place over the years but won't be returning to this ever again. And anyone that wishes to rent the downstairs for parties I would recommend staying away from this place because they will...
