We absolutely love APA! Our daughter has been taking dance classes at the Franklin location for 3 years now and she loves it! The staff is very friendly and you can tell that the dance teachers love their jobs as well. They are very good with the kids and we especially love the fact that they do not focus so much on being a “perfect” dancer, but rather making sure the kiddos are having fun and enjoying what they are doing. Our family also enjoys how the owner includes the families in many community events that they organize throughout the year such as, the Community Holiday party, Easter Egg Hunt, 4th of July Parades in Oak Creek and Franklin, and at the end of Summer, a pool party at Cool Waters. And we also love that APA has two recitals each year in the winter and spring (which are optional) for their students which are held at the South Milwaukee PAC! My daughter has be going to APA for 2 years now, going into her third year! She absolutely loves going to class on a weekly basis as they are learning technique and having fun in class. I don't have others in Milwaukee to compare to, but I was in dance my whole life and this this what I would expect out of a school. There are events throughout the year outside of just dance that is open to the public (Halloween trick or treat, egg hunt for Easter) that has been great! The recitals are nice as they have good class sizes and you can easily see your child on stage. The recitals are only about 1.5 hours as APA has many - I've heard other schools where you sit for many hours to watch your child in 1 or 2, 2 minute routines. This is our 3rd season dancing at APA and we are very happy with the studio. Their website is extremely professional and the front desk staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. This really sets the tone for the overall experience at APA. I think it's very beneficial to have adults teaching all of the classes and have been impressed with all of our instructors so far. I also appreciate the studio's family-friendly environment and modesty pledge. All of the recital costumes are modest and accommodate students of all shapes and sizes and the music and choreography is always age appropriate.
