United States Postal Service — Local services in Franklin

4/23, After moving here a month ago I’m still not receiving my mail in a timely manner like I used too up north. I don’t know if they are short on postal carriers or just slow in general but it’s really frustrating. If this doesn’t improve fast I may have to call on the pony express for help!! **Update as of 1/24; Now after living here for almost a year. The mail carrier can’t deliver our mail earlier than 6PM every night if he gets here at all and when delivering packages, they get stuffed into our small mail box instead of leaving them in a much larger box that’s dedicated specifically for packages. You’re FIRED! Worst service in Wisconsin. *This is now my 2nd update to my original post of 4/23. It is now 6/24 and if anything, the service from this post office in Franklin, WI is MUCH worse. They can’t even do the simplest parts of their job… like place mail in the slot of the person it’s addressed too! Many times I get my mail left at my door from a neighbor who received it by mistake. I have had packages that are being sent thru the USPS and they contact me saying it will be delivered tomorrow… but it doesn’t come? How much more stupid can you be?? I could get better service from the 3 stooges, it’s too bad they’re dead. It’s obvious that none of the employees at this post office location give a darn about doing their job right. Waited for my friend to send my package. She couldn't because it was the day after new years and they were observing the holiday, which is fine. So she mailed it the next day... takes about 2 days for the package to get to my house. Waited all day for the mail to come and it was almost 5pm and we saw her up the road delivering mail. So figured she would be at our house shortly. Waited and waited. Look outside to see her gone... went to the. Mailbox to get the mail thinking the package was there. Nope just a slip saying sorry we missed u... um no u didn't we were home u just were top lazy to get out of the truck and knock on the door to deliver the mail like that's ur job to do. So took the slip asap to the post office and asked for my package. They were very rude and arrogant. Making fun of me because I didn't get my package. The package wasn't there and they were not helpful at all but very rude and disrespectful. Called the post office to speak to the post master well they are never in. What kind of place is this?! Consently screwing up on delivering mail and there is no customer service what so ever... we will see how tomorrow...

The service at the actual location is very nice and helpful. The mail delivery is substandard. My carrier has misdelivered my mail on several dates. I received a notice that my nonpayment of a bill would be sent to collections if not paid immediately. I had sent the check-picked up by my carrier-the day after receiving the bill. So I sent another check. A month later, my original check reached it’s destination. They sent it back to me, stamped in red letters, from the post office, “FOUND IN SUPPOSEDLY EMPTY EQUIPMENT”. I never received a bill from 2 local retailers, despite my “Informed Delivery” informing me of their impending delivery. Today, I received a bill from my credit card company. With $37.88 WORTH OF LATE FEES AND INTEREST CHARGES FOR A CHECK I mailed out THE DAY AFTER I RECEIVED IT! Guess who gets to pay for their ineptitude? Hey, that’s MY excellent credit rating they just screwed! Garbage. I’m mailing everything elsewhere. I will look into compensation for the money owed to me. But my excellent credit?
