Worst pharmacy ever. Ignoring the long lines due to understaffing, the thing that really bothers me is the rank incompetence and lack of concern for customers. Some specific examples include: when my mother and I got our COVID boosters we made an appointment but we were still kept waiting 90 minutes (not counting time spent in line) past our appointment time to get our shots. My mother had a medicine change several months ago where one prescription was discontinued and the Dr. prescribed a new one. The pharmacy put in the new scrip but did not discontinue the old one which resulted in Medicare refusing the new script because as far as they knew the old med and new one were both being used and those 2 meds are incompatible. The pharmacy never lifted a finger to understand what was up. They just said that the new medication was refused by insurance and as a result we had to track down the issues. Even once we found out that it was a mistake on the part of Walgreen’s pharmacy, there was never an apology. Just an “OK, we’ll change that in our computer.” As a result of this my mother almost missed a dose of cardiac medication which can be very dangerous. Just today I stopped in to pick up some needles for my insulin pens and even though the Dr. had called the prescription in 12 days ago, it was not ready. They said that they were out of stock and that they had just ordered it and will have it tomorrow. I had called their automated line daily for the past few days and every time it said that it would be ready “tomorrow”. As near as I can tell, they had not even bothered to order it until today, nearly 2 weeks after they had received the prescription. They also said that they would not check other Walgreens in the area to see if they can get it from them. I pointed out that I only have one of these needles left and that running out of them means that I will not be able to use my insulin which could lead to occasional bouts of death. Apparently, that was too snarky for the technician who told me I was being rude and hung up and walked away (I was at the drive-up window). The combination of incompetence, rudeness, and poor customer service makes this a pharmacy that I would stay away from, and I will be transferring my scripts (and my mother’s) to a local grocery store pharmacy. I don’t know how good they will be, but they sure cannot be worse than...
Read moreIf i could leave less then 1 star i would, absolutely the worst service ever. They close until further notice whenever they feel like it, if you need your medications its a hassle to get anything done, the staff in pharamacy is rude make, scream profanity at customers, and refuse to give back medical paperwork when asked. In order to fill prescriptions you have to call them to make they are actually filling the prescription because if you do not the prescription will sit there for days at a time before anyone thinks to do something. If you have anyone in your family or even for yourself who need medication or to go to the pharmacy I suggest from personal experience to go anywhere else, because you will get absolutely nothing done at this store.
Update: after a few days since this incident, there was an entirely different staff...
Read moreCalling in for a prescription update this morning we found out that the supply chain issues are resurfacing again and we want to give a huge shout out for any regional manager, or any district manager to recognize Kaitlyn in the pharmacy. Certain medications you may need for high blood pressure or many other serious ailments are now on back order from the manufacturers Walgreens may buy from. Kaitlyn went above tand beyond by working with our provider and ourselves to work out a solution to split up a higher dose medication that was in stock to keep us from going without. Her effort to work with our provider and keep us healthy and safe should be recognized by Walgreens upper management. A true gem at this location. Thank...
