Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply — Local services in Fraser

I'm leaving a review for Murdochs because a couple of their employees came through big for me! A few days ago I scoured my local Ft Collins shops as well as online for some Ice Auger replacement blades to no such luck. I was referred to Murdochs by Granby Bait and tackle and wouldn't you know it I was in luck! They had the blades I was looking for and at an incredible price! Only one problem. I lived 3 hours away and didn't get off work until after their closing time. Dan and Kay were the two that helped me over the phone and they not only came up with a "plan" but did so in such a friendly manner that I felt WOW these are some great people at this store which I have passed dozens of times en route to Granby. I've been in Customer Service industries my entire working life and have long believed Employees "Make the business" good or bad. These two were fantastic! Not only were they helpful in solving my silly dilemma but they did it enthusiastically and saved my Ice Fishing trip I had planned by hiding my paid for parts in a safe spot for me to find late that evening. This was about the only place open on Christmas Eve. Thankful for that. We were doing some last minute gifts for our kids. While browsing the toy options we ran into a mildly grouchy associate. Her "bah humbug-ish"attitude about children playing with the toys was a bit disheartening and quite annoying by the time we left. I get that it can be stressful during this season for any retail associate with all the children, attended or Unattended, playing with anything they can get their hands on. This particular associate seemed to really dislike children in general. Perhaps she could be of better service in a different department within the store. As we were checking out we were once again in the presence of a two not so friendly cashiers. Who werent entirely enthusiastic about anything at all. Like here's your merchandise you spent over 200 dollars on and we will bag it if you pay extra. Your joking right. Nope we said keep your bag we will find another option.
