Discovery Crossing — Local services in Frederick

It's a for-profit type of place, it's not for the poor anymore. Especially this Goodwill in particular will have used/dirty/things that miss parts marked up as more expensive than they were brand new in store. Some examples: used candles with no scent (the original price is literally on there & Internet is also free) but no used up candle should be more than $1. It's ridiculous that Marshalls/TJMaxx/HomeGoods is cheaper AND new. Another example: an originally $5 mini flower planter set with expired seeds was marked at $6.50. With seeds that have an expiration date & potentially no chance of growing.

On top of this, their furniture which will be also missing parts & ect will be more expensive or sometimes the same price as a brand new piece of furniture on Wayfair.

Along with all of that mentioned, they also will separate things to charge even more, or just to make you unaware there's sets. Kitchen sets is a big one..... But the lamps & lampshades are the worst. How are you going to separate parts of the lamp (some which are literally vintage & supposed to be together) & charge even more?? Of their already ridiculous pricing????? And price aside what are they even doing. What are y'all doing lol. I want to leave 1 star but your management don't deserve that. With the prices y'all gouge your employees should have AMAZING competitive wages.

The only thing profiting are the top in the company as always. You took one of the only resources the poor or less fortunate had & made it more expensive than...

It's better than it looks at first glance. For a small, aging and somewhat outdated strip mall, it's clean and maintenanced, and has some hidden gems. As Frederick spreads, I hope to see this area get a facelift, and some new shops and recourses for people looking to avoid the hectic chaos of...
