Dietz Distillery — Local services in Fredericksburg

We had the pleasure of visiting Dietz distillery in Fredericksburg, Texas. We live in Comfort, Texas, and have driven past the distillery several times. We finally visited with our family, the atmosphere inside with the beautiful woodwork seemed to be an episode from moonshine. Nice bar area next to the open distillery tanks, where you can see where they make the whiskey. Beautiful bartender serving your drink order. Reasonable prices on whiskey drinks. Family friendly outside. Inside has a cozy cool area to stay cool, while you sip on your favorite drink. Spoke to the young good looking owner, Mr. Dietz, who was very informative of his distillery. The founder Case Dietz Fischer led us through a delicious tasting of his Austrian-style distilled spirits - a vodka flavored with raspberry (crisp and flavorful raspberry that's not crazy sweet like other brands), a peach brandy (locally grown Fredericksburg, TX peaches are at the heart of this spirit, picked at perfect ripeness), and a gin that's barking with flavor without the typical bite (a lovely bouquet of botanicals and juniper berry). We had a delightful and delicious sipping experience at the Dietz Distillery today! Brooks was knowledgeable about their products and shared his love for the blending and highlighting their Silver Rum. Had fun chatting with other customers as we were educated about the variety of mixers they produce and sell.
