Updated review: See below, lol. From the initial call to make the appointment to leaving: Always a good experience! This time, the scheduling person asked if I needed an inspection: yay, I did, and I had kept forgetting. Now it's done, thank you! I always wait there, so I bring work to do - love the work station, thank you! I asked about getting the cabin filter replaced: "Sure thing," and it was done lickety split, thank you! And, this visit didn't cost me a dime! Why? Because my Ford Pass rewards paid for it! Thank you to the service guy who suggested it! And yay for Ford Pass Reward Points! Getting the oil changed is a necessity; going to a place where everyone's friendly and professional in a pleasant environment is a choice: I choose McLane Ford of Fredericksburg!
Previous review: Awesome service department!!! I live closer to the Ford dealership in Kerrville, but I bring my 2021 Ranger to McLane Ford of Fredericksburg for my maintenance! McLane Ford is AWESOME! Super friendly folks, nice choice of waiting area seating (additional comfy couches/seats by a fireplace in the showroom -which is also adjacent to the bathroom- and rarely occupied!). They're swift & efficient! Really appreciate them going through the checklist and sharing the results of each item, mentioning when this/that may need to be done at what point, etc. I was in Austin when I bought my truck (recently moved to KV area). Initially drove 2hrs 1-way to Truck City, Buda for service. So delighted that McLane Ford is not only closer, but equally as awesome as the folks in Buda! The waiting room options are way better than in Buda, it's a fraction of the drive, and these folks are great! If my next vehicle is a Ford, I'll probably buy it at McLane Ford of Fredericksburg (I'm anticipating not having to do so for awhile, with my '21 Ranger! Love it!)

Read moreIt was service that first drew me to McLane Ford. I had previously dealt with a Ford dealer in San Antonio and the service I had received there was indifferent at best. McLane Ford’s service personnel took the time to listen to what I needed and then made an appointment to get the job done. Their representative came to my ranch and took the truck back for the service work then brought it to me when it was completed. The work was done as it should have been done and the truck was clean when returned. I had asked that the broken parts be returned to me and they were in a box in the bed of the truck just as I requested. And the cost of the repair was significantly less than what the other dealership had quoted me.
When it came time to purchase a new truck I went to McLane and had a really good experience there as well. Felipe was very helpful and assisted me in completing the design of the new F250 King Ranch I wanted. Once ordered the ball moved over to Ford and once delivery was made Felipe immediately called me with the news that the big day was at hand. The truck was prepped and ready when I arrived at the appointed time. Felipe spent probably 90 minutes with me helping me set up all the gizmos on the truck and made sure I was ready to go before turning me loose. A totally good experience.

Read moreThis was my first visit to McLane Ford of Fredericksburg. I Scheduled an appointment online for an oil change. Got to dealership and realized I was 1,200 miles away from the 30,000 miles service package. I informed the guy at the service desk of this and asked if they could do the 30,000 mile service. He said yes. After the service to my vehicle was finished, the guy at the service desk, (different guy than the first one who waited on me) asked if I had any Ford Pass rewards points to use. I told him I didn’t know and that I didn’t know what the rewards points were. He explained how to earn rewards points and then looked up my account. Even though my vehicle was linked to my Ford Pass account, it didn’t show any points but should have. We went into another employee’s office, her name is Taylor. We explained to Taylor about my Ford Pass account. Taylor called Ford Pass and found out I had two accounts (not sure how that happened) and that I had $420 dollars worth of rewards points. My bill went from $461 to $41. Taylor also had Ford Pass cancel one of my accounts and transfer everything to one account. Thank you Taylor. Everyone at McLane Ford of Fredericksburg was nice and helpful. If I am ever in need of service again while in Fredericksburg I will definitely go back...
