Best tour and tour guide ever! I booked my tour two months in advance and Christian had an open line of communication the entire time. Most of all he was very hospitable during our first visit to Fredericksdurg! We ended up having some spare time along the tour and wanted to stop at another winery that we heard about and he was more than willing to take us. We were visiting the town later that night and he gave us some great recommendations for a few taxi services that could pick us up and drop us off. Not only did he have amazing customer service but he was such a gentleman the entire time. 5 women drinking wine, you can just imagine the noise and he didn't mind not one bit. We purchased things and he was happy to watch over our stuff while we went on our tours.We are planning to return in a few months. Not only will I be recommending Christian to everyone I know that will be visiting Fredericksburg, but I will be using him every time I visit. Very impressionable for our first wine tour which means we will be using Black Barrel anytime we visit again! The website was very helpful and easy to navigate, not to mention informative, especially a separate tab for all wineries! I especially liked the choice of having a private tour and there wasn't an upcharge for that - same reasonable price as public tours! When I requested to add 2 more guests, Christian was very responsive and accommodating! Day of tour we were picked up promptly at our airbnb. He was educational along the route; not to mention he put up with our loud music and singing and you know that got louder after each winery visit! He notified us that we'd have a different driver to pick us up after our last visit and when we wanted an earlier pick up, he was very accommodating and had Alex pick us up! Alex was awesome also! As a local and a longstanding Becker member, my girlfriend and I parked in the handicap area under the big oak tree. After a glass of wine we proceeded to leave only to find out we were (rudely) blocked in by the Black Barrel Tours van parked 5' or so directly behind our car, in front of the walkway to Becker's main building. I opened the driver's side van door (may I kindly recommend you lock up when leaving a vehicle) of Black Barrel Tours van and yelled "is there anyone in here?" - no answer. Minute later out comes the driver who rather than apologizing for blocking us and the inconvenience (much less the parking in a non designated area) said, "I'll move, and then maybe I won't". I'm going "excuse me?" There is no need for this juvenile behavior. Just park 10' to the north so folks can leave at will and give up the attitude. Please...
