Very rude & unprofessional. Waiter comes up…no greeting, does not ask how we are doing, doesn’t ask in we need a menu or have any questions….”What do you want?” I had just listened to another waiter with a group close by explain several things like the special was 2 drinks for $25, what his favorite drink was, etc etc. After our waiter snapped his question, I asked “How does this work?” He looks at me and says….”It’s a bar, you order a drink!” My brother in law jumped in and said what she’s asking is is there a special, what is your specialty, etc. He repeats himself…it’s a bar, you drink.” I said I had just heard the other waiter explain the special 2 drinks for $25. And he says, “Oh, yeah, we have that.” Nothing else, no further explanation. What he failed to understand, we were there to have several drinks and to purchase several bottles….but his rude and hateful manner left me fuming. We finished one drink and left. What a lovely experience! It was my first time in a speakeasy, and I really enjoyed it. The people who work there are so very kind and welcoming. My daughter and I had reservations, and we wanted to come in a bit earlier. They were very happy to accommodate the change. The location is tucked away, and we weren't sure if we found the right place, which is part of the magic of a speakeasy, I understand. We enjoyed our drinks and were allowed to try any of the other spirits they produce. While there is seating outdoors, go inside for the speakeasy experience. I love the decor on the inside and their mission statement and purpose. We did not dress the part but there was a group of people dressed to the nines in the perfect Speak Easy attire; their look matched the bartenders! Very classy! We had a wonderful time at the speakeasy. We went for the different atmosphere and drinks and were not disappointed. The place is well staffed with knowledgeable people and it's really cozy inside with very comfortable seating and soft music that doesn't drown out your conversations. It's like being in your own living room. While enjoying our drinks, they offered us a table side taste testing of their distilled liquors. There was no pressure to do the taste testing and no charge. We really enjoyed that aspect and learning more about the history of Salvation Spirits Distillery. Chris took care of us and was great. We purchased two bottles.
