Please do not be fooled by the reviews. My suspicion is that when people demand their money back and he does not follow through.
Had me do an intense workout that lasted in a week long migraine that I took drugs for all week. I still came into our regular sessions. He will claim I asked to move my sessions from Tu/thu to Tu/Friday (because I had a meeting pop up), I never asked for a reschedule of a scheduled session more than 24 hours in advance. He was to allow me to go into the gym for "extra time" (not personal training) on Saturdays at 10AM. The first month I was with him he cancled every single Saturday with the excuses: 1. car break in 2. allergies/ cold 3. Pge shutdown 4 migraine. For an entire month I could not get in on Saturday. When I changed my time from tu/Fri (in adanvce for the following week), he used that as justification for constantly rescheduling my sessions with less than 24 hours notice. I had had enough after a rescheduled session was bumped three times (my usual tuesday session to wednesday. Then he bumped me in favor of another client. then bumpted me to saturday. Had a bogus excuse saturday. then bumped that to sunday. then said was going to church instead. and I said please refund my money and his whole personality changed.
he tried to reconcile, and I worked out with him again this behavior started happening again. Another employee at his other gym he had to cover for, and asked if I could do the nextday. I said I couldn't, and clearly he doesn't have enough time for hhis roster of clients, and so I'm out and like a refund of how ever many sessions went unused. Like a petulant child b, his demeanor rapidly changed again. It was actually very scary and made me intensely uncomfortable. I talked to others about his behavior and they found it bizarre. He rescheduled on ME with less than 1 hour notice, and then was angry with ME asking for a refund. He probably targets people that are weak or have been sick, hoping there's less of a chance they'll fight back.
Please pay me the $800 you promised you'd send, and at least I will amend this to say you stuck to your word at the end, but if you are overwhelmeed with clients, you are unable to handle the workload and refund your clients the money. I wish you the best otherwise and hope you will not scam other people going forward

Read moreI started going to 1Body a couple of months ago and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for support in their physical fitness journey! In particular, I am really happy with my personal trainer, the facility, and the progress I have made.
DJ is a great personal trainer and the owner - he's friendly, supportive, and you can really feel he cares about your progress and health. He likes throwing in random client appreciation freebies (protein powder, energy drinks, a free session, car detailing if you can believe it!), which are always a surprise delight! He's excellent at establishing a rapport with his clients, as well as pushing you to work harder than you thought you could, but not more than you can handle. DJ is also a great texter, and scheduling appointments is a breeze with how fast the responses are.
The facility is clean and well-maintained, and such a relief to have during COVID - usually, it is just me and DJ in the facility on the weekend. During the week, it is usually DJ, me, and another trainer and their trainee. The facility is big enough that you don't worry too much about social distancing, but also provides a huge variety in workouts that you can do. Water and towels are provided, because you will be working up a sweat!
Finally, I have been feeling great since starting my workouts here. DJ provides a nutritional plan based on your fitness goals, and my goal was weight-loss. I am pre-diabetic, so he tailored a plan for me, and I have been feeling stronger and fitter, and eating more than I thought I would! We weighed in recently and I am indeed shrinking, and am in-between clothing sizes, which is super exciting!

Read moreDJ is definitely the best trainer I have worked with. He is super nice person and never lose patience in listening to my goals and explaining what are the best for me.
At the beginning, he gave me a detailed, colorful, customized diet plan which explains how many calories and recommended ratio of each components I should take in one day, how to do the measurement in each meal, etc. I go the gym twice a week, so he also gave me some homework to do in the remaining days.
During the sessions, he makes sure that he pushes me just to the right extent in every session, also he is kind enough to give me some treats (protein bars) or rewards (one free session!!) to motivate my hard working!!! I've never seen such a trainer who is truly thinking on your side and pursues results like it's on his own body! He makes sure my form is correct for every exercise. He's also professional and has medical knowledge, so he can explain very well what we are doing and why we are doing and what are the benefits.
Also, the price is fair, you can choose from several different packages which offer different rates. And he has pretty flexible schedule, you can ask him any reasonable questions through texts and he will always reply super patiently :)
