I usually don't write reviews but this I felt needed to be said. My family and I decided to try this establishment for the first time on Sunday. We called at 11 a.m. to make sure they had lanes available, which they did. We arrived 10 mins later. Collin, who was not friendly or welcoming, informed us that they had no lanes available until 1 p.m. meanwhile you could clear see that lanes was available. I asked him since we are already here, I would like to pay for 2 lanes for 1 p.m. but he said that he couldn't do that. My family and I returned at 10 mins before 1 and he told us he only had 1 lane. I proceeded to look at the score boards of lanes and saw some would be available within 20 minutes or so. I told him that we would wait for 1 more lane. Collin told us that another lane would not be available for at least 45 mins. So we took one lane. As we was getting our shoe another family walks in and all of a sudden Collin who is now very friendly and helpful told them a lane was available. I couldn't believe this was happening. I told him right in front of the other family that he told us no other lanes was available. The lady of the family said I'm sorry the one he offered us screen isn't working. I told her thank you but there was no need for her to apologize to me because I asked him if there were any other lanes available and he lied and told me no. We went to our one lane, ordered food and drinks and bowled for our 2 hours. As I read recently reviews on your establishment, my family and I too feel like our race played a part in how we were treated. As an establishment you should want ALL AND I MEAN ALL your customers to feel welcomed and receive great customer service. One very rude and unhelpful employees can tarnish the reputation of your establishment causing you to lose customers who would have...
Read moreThe business should not have the word family in it. My family went there last Sunday Afternoon (keep in mind not a Friday night) to bowl. Every ally save one had families with children under 10. It was a stressfull atmosphere because inappropriate music was blasting. (wasn't like that the first 20 minutes we were there) we put up with music for an hour after it changed for the worst. A couple families left. It was striper music! My husband decided to bring it to the attention to the guy with shoes. He claimed a customer paid for the music and wad very rude to us! My husband went over to music machine and looked at the purchase history...nope the music wasn't paid for...it was on shuffle. Regardless if the music was paid for or not, if it's inappropriate( F' this... And u N...) for a place with at least 25 children under the age 10 on a Sunday afternoon it shouldn't be playing. We had to buy music... if we just wanted to keep it decent. And if that doesn't bother you how about being CHARGED TWICE! We were a group of 22 and two of the families were charged twice. The same guy with the shoes was the guy who was checking us out he was very rude again! He didn't budge...my husband ended up paying for the whole group and then we just split it and ate the extra cost. It seems like backwards system paying after bowling....sets u up for being taken! Will never visit again....we spent way too much (food, beer, and music too) to be treated like dirt and I'll guarantee we will...
Read moreIrritated and disappointed with Royal Family Bowling Center. My boyfriend is a big bowling fan—has his own shoes and ball. We have been researching nice local bowling alleys, and RFBC was recommended numerous times to us. Well, my boyfriend lives 5 hours away. He traveled up to spend the day with me and to bowl. I called RFBC one week prior to when we wanted to bowl, and were given time and hours information. Just to make sure, I also then called FRBC literally less than one day before we were planning to bowl to confirm details. The individual told us the same information and assured us they would be open after the league bowlers at 10 pm. I had the smart idea to call the alley before we left our hotel and make sure we could bowl. We were told that they were closing early due to something (I think they said a tournament) in the morning and that there was no bowling. So my boyfriend traveled 5 hours with two heavy bowling balls, shoes, and idk what else only to then end up having to help me figure out something else for us to do other than sitting in a hotel room staring at each other. I had heard such good things and was very excited to bowl here, but I will not be bowling here or recommending it to anyone—especially after I called to confirm...
