Check the reviews before going. We didn't. January 2nd, 2025 Walked in with my family after a long road trip. We consistently shop at Target, where we are from. Went to the women's t-shirt section to purchase a shirt for my sister, who wasn't present at the store with us. We were there for essentials, but she called to let me know she needed a shirt. I grabbed a couple of sizes and tried them on top of my sweater out in the open. When I look up, this european american (white) woman and her, I assume older teen/adult daughter are staring at us in a very creepy way. I had my littles with me, so I automatically stared back and pointed out loudly that they were staring at our direction. When just as quickly I noticed a target employee, long brown hair put up on a hair clip, near them, talking under her breath with them, making it seem she wasn't looking and didn't hear me. The two women left the area, and the employee disappeared before I could say anything to her about what had just happened. My husband had one of those store scooters with the baskets (recently had surgery). I placed the chosen shirt in the basket and neatly folded the other and put it away. We moved on with our guard up, keeping our littles near us. We quickly discovered the fitting rooms were right behind us as soon as we did around the corner (in a terrible job of trying to be discreet) come a lost prevention and the same employee that had vanished before. I was extremely speechless. We come from what is considered a "red" state and have NEVER experienced this before. I said in an open voice, "I think we are being profiled." My family quickly confronted the security and employee. They, of course, denied everything and kept asking "is everything ok?" In between sentences. While ignoring the mention of the other women giving human trafficker vibes. What irritated us too is that this staff were people of color as well, and understood two of the languages we were speaking. The store was mainly filled with people of color speaking different languages, too. We continued shopping for what we needed. Throughout the store, we kept getting the same vibes from a few employees. In the end, our cashier was the only kind employee we met. She was apologetic and understanding. She is the only reason why I am ok Google forcing leaving one star. Target. I hope you value this employee, and...
Read moreROSIE who has a broken foot and works as a cashier is incredibly rude. I was next in line for Self Checkout and she had a lane open on the side. She finished with her customer and I respectfully waited to either be called or go to next available kiosk. She waved her hand at me and I went over. I said âhello I brought my own bagâ and placed it on the belt. She grabbed it and put it at the end and said âyou need to bag it yourselfâ. Uhm okay I will I have no problem doing that. How about âif you bring your own reusable bag please know youâll need to bag it yourselfâ not âyou need to bag yourselfâ. Iâm not sure if she thinks she can talk to someone like that just because Iâm younger than her but if she does thatâs incredibly small minded.
So I begin bagging my items and she walks around the register to greet one of her friends who has a cart full of stuff and she LITERALLY GIVES HIM 2 FREE BAGS. They start having a full on conversation like it was not coming to an end any time soon. Iâm standing there waiting for about 2 minutes ready to pay. So I say, âCan I pay?â She turns around and says âgo aheadâ and points at the machine. I said âwell the machine isnât flashing blueâ she says âit doesnât need toâso I try to put my card in, it doesnât do anything so she sighs, leaves her friend, and comes back to her register to activate the pad. As Iâm paying she LEAVES AGAIN like actually disappears for 4 minutes. My receipt printed out and I was waiting for her. I needed my receipt and I was not going to be disrespectful and reach for it over the counter. She finally comes back and gives it to me and I just leave. No âhave a good dayâ from her or a âsorryâ she just gives it to me. Rosie is incredibly rude, unprofessional, lazy and her foot probably ainât even broken. Sheâs 100% going to deny this review if management were to being it up but look at the cameras for...
Read moreThe customer service at this target is horrendous. On multiple occasions I've waited at the costumer service desk for more than 15 minutes before any one even acknowledges me. And its not that they were on break or not there. Several team members walked back and forth in front of me to go to the target drive up without even greeting me or saying someone will be there soon. So I began to try the drive up but every time I go to the drive up. (I even used to the app to let them know I was on my way and everything) Yet, I waited 20 minutes and ended up going in to get my items, after see the team members bring out items to every car that arrived after me. I understand that things can be busy but common curtesy are seriously lacking. This last visit took the cake. I was trying to exchange a sweater for a different size that I had gotten during a sale. I had the receipt and everything. The team member charged me the full price for the new size. When I attempted to explain that that was not the original price I paid the team member was extremely rude. She told me there's nothing they can do about it, even when another customer next to me mentioned that Target honors the original price paid for exchanges. The team member then gave me attitude that she could ask the manager but the manager will say the same thing. I asked politely for her to go talk with the manager. Upon the team member's return she didn't say a word to apologize for her attitude or that she would be able to complete the transaction for the same price. She was silent as she completed the exchange at the original price I paid for the sweater. Totally unnecessary behavior for a...
