Guten Tag — Local services in Funkstown

My husband and I came across this gem last year and have been obsessed ever since. We love to shop locally to find unique items to add to our home and Guten Tag did not disappoint! When we walked in we were greeted by the sweetest hello from the owner and her friends, who all have been an absolute joy to talk to everytime we stop in. From antiques, to repurposed items that other would just toss away, to the cutest seasonal decor, neutral florals, I could go on for days. The owner is beyond amazing, going out of her way to not only help us with any questions we have but to making our 2 kids feel so welcomed and at home. Even they get excited to stop in and see all the new items that have arrived! We even get surprised with cupcakes and refreshments during the busy seasons! We just love this little store and highly recommend to everyone!

We got these 3 items pictured over the last year. An old tabletop repurposed into the perfect Pumpkin sign for our TV stand. A rusty old pumpkin sign that has the most beautiful colors and was the perfect size for our hall cabinet! As well as an antique tobacco bucket that our 2 kids loved adding...

I lived here as a teen. Place is super haunted. I would babysit my sister's there after school and my sister would always stare up into the corner of the room and when I would ask what she was looking at she would say "He told me not to tell, He told me not to tell". When I eventually got her to tell me she described it as an all black figure that reach from floor to ceiling, a trench coat and hat.... That went on for months and then one night I'm woken up by a curdling scream from my sister and she's running down the hallway. She says she heard noises at the basement door so she opened it and saw a large black man in chains crawling up the stairs... I would feel the presence when I babysat sometime and it would get super cold.

The house 2 behind this one is even more haunted, it was a war time...
