I knew exactly what I wanted for my mother's inurnment. Rooster Vane Gardens did exactly that! I ordered an urn spray in mixed flowers along with other arrangements for other family members that rest in the same area, like a closed heart arrangement, an open-heart arrangement, a smaller spray of flowers for another relative who rests above ground, and an arrangement for our lunch restaurant nearby. The freshness of the flowers was incredible. And the artisanal arrangements were top notch. We received an additional arrangement created by them from a remote family member which was equally beautiful and fresh. My girlfriend was taken to the hospital by ambulance last Saturday April 3rd and was placed in ICU so on Wednesday when she was a little better I decided to take her some flowers and since I'm not to familiar with flower shops I decided on Rooster Vane Gardens since I used to live in Funkstown and it was on my way to the hospital. I parked and went into the store around 10:30am and told them what I was wanting and that her favorite colors were yellow and purple. And around 10:45am they came out with this beautiful arrangement. I was complimented on their beauty and aroma by everyone seeing them. Even the nurse who let me put them in her room in the ICU. And the cost was very affordable $53 and had them made while I waited. My family and I have been longtime patrons of Rooster Vane for years—for special occasions, weddings, funerals, and Valentine’s Day.

But no more.

The Monday before Valentine’s Day, I dropped into Rooster Vane to inquire about an arrangement for my wife.

When I arrived, the woman was on the phone and stared at me like I shouldn’t dare ask her whether they could prepare an arrangement for Valentine’s Day. She rudely brushed me off, told me the cutoff date for a Valentine’s Day arrangement was already past, and scoffed at me for even asking. She didn't thank me for inquiring or offer an alternative arrangement.

I said, “Thank You,” and exited the store with the same woman staring at me intently.

If this is how this person treats longtime customers, my family and I will use a florist who treats its customers with respect.
