I have put off writing this for two weeks just so that I do not the emotions of the moment get the best of me. I stopped into this store to price a new phone. I was extremely happy with the fact that my bill, at the time I went to this store, was roughly $125/mo. for my phone and internet service. I was fairly direct when I let them know that I really didnāt want my bill to change much. So, here is the bill of goods that I was soldā¦āMr. Adkins, since your phone screen is damaged, we cannot take it in on trade.ā No problem, I get that. āMr. Adkins, if you purchase this new phone, your bill should go up about $50.ā Not a problem. Totally expected that. āMr. Adkins, if you purchase this Apple Watch, your bill will only go up $70.ā Sounds good! Letās do it!
After the store manager is on the phone with customer service for the better part of 45 minutes. Transaction complete!
When I received my bill, my charges went from $125/mo. to over $300! I immediately went back into the store.
This is where things go south quickly. The gentleman that waited on me, well I explained to him the situation. I politely asked him to call customer service. He flat out denied. I asked again, his response? āThey probably wonāt do anything about it.ā After I finally demand that he call customer service, when they answered, he declined to give them their dealer code. After being on the phone with customer service for nearly an hour, I received about $70 in credits towards my bill. The ONLY person who even remotely appeared to care was the girl that sold me the phone. Unfortunately, āIām sorryā doesnāt put Humpty Dumpty back together again, and Iām still on the hook for a bill that is FAR beyond what I was promised Iād be paying. VERY DECEPTIVE PRACTICES. I rate you folks up there with those who sell timeshares for a living. You got me this time. However, Iāll drive 100 miles to another store before I ever spend another dime here. Beyond that, I have nothing good to say about this experience, and will caution everyone I know to avoid your store. My advice, as a 15 year sales veteran, stop deceiving your customers, as this will certainly come back to haunt you in time. Please, save any rebuttal to my review. This this store set me up with a couple devices and I returned them 7 days from date of purchase. Now Iām receiving bills for over $200 and now a collection agency trying to collect. When I call the customer service line they wonāt talk to me I have to go back to the store. I even went to WV corporate store and they couldnāt help me. Now Iām back to dealing with this store. Iāve called serval times and several trips to the store with no luck. I get weāre working on it call back tomorrow. Itās my credit that will have this mark and my time and money to fix their mistake which the manager owned up to. I donāt know how else to get the attention on this matter resolved other than letting it go to court and bringing all my receipts and documentation. This is an urgent matter that need attention and updates regularly. So an update on this issue: I got ahold of the store today and now being told itās the customers responsibility to cancel service which is what I thought was taking place on May27 th -7 days into a 14 buyers remorse - and now Iām being told that it was told to me to take care of then not theirs stores responsibility. So explain to me how I call the customer care line to be told they canāt help because I donāt have an account to send a verification to that I need to go back to the store for the store to tell me to call customer care. At what point does this make sense and itās now the run around Iām getting Update 8/4- after no response from the manger this previous week, finally a rep from TMobile executive branch reached out and resolved everything before she called me today. I would like to add she let me know it was very disappointing it got to this point and had the store took a little bit of time this could have been resolved. She was able to see all the attempts made by me to resolve it so the the store. I would like to thank the Barboursville WV store rep who helped me more than the Gallipolis location. They also gave me two very sleek Galaxy S22 phones. Not only that but they did all the work, transferred my photos and apps. We took our new phones on vacation to Florida and took some amazing shots.
