Read moreSince this wasn't our families first stay at Inn at the Lake we knew what to expect. Or so we thought. We were pleasantly surprised with improvements that had been made since our last stay. More athletic fun, three fridges and the back decking had been resurfaced and made it much safer for grandchildren getting out of the fabulous pool. Our family had a blast at the volleyball court, the pool, the hot tub and basketball court. Having enough rooms for our large family, which includes full bathrooms is always a plus for our family. We have 22 grandchildren ranging in age from in the womb to 21 years old. Parents and kids enjoy their privacy and Inn at the Lake provides plenty of privacy. With two ovens and three fridges plus the cook top stove, tons of counter space and well placed sinks, food storage and preparation is a snap. The breakfast nook seats 8 adults very comfortably and tons of grandkids. In addition there are two long tables with chairs on both sides so there is plenty of sitting space to enjoy meals together as a family. One thing our family enjoys is the fabulous blend of private space and group space. The second floor balcony looks out over the very spacious living room and dining area. In the basement the bunk room is a huge hit for our grandchildren. Cousins get to enjoy their time together and get to have a sleep over which they normally don't since our family is located in three different states. The ping pong table and foosball table were both main attractions for several of our family members. The pool was always kept clean and unfortunately for the staff, we became experts at locking our keys in the room. Chuck and staff were very kind and forgiving. They would hustle to the house to get our grandkids back in their rooms. They were kind, helpful and forgiving for us bothering them. If there was a 6th star on the rating scale we would give a six star review. We love Inn at the Lake and we are already making plans for our next stay there. Thank you Chuck and staff for providing such a warm and welcoming environment for our family reunion. See...

There were plenty of bathroom linens But only one dish towel and one dish cloth. We quickly realized that we had to climb two flights (literally 25 stairs) to get to the kitchen and master bedroom area. This was a major issue as my husband has extremely bad knees. I wish that had been noted when booking the room. (Lesson learned to ask next time I book a room) After spending our first evening we notice the bottoms of all our feet were black from walking around on the floors just half day. The next night We dropped a pen and it rolled under a couch downstairs. We moved the couch to get it were appalled at how much garbage, dust, & dirt was under the couch! We decided we couldnât just leave it so looked for a broom-no broom (although 90% of the floors were hard surface). So we vacuumed it instead. As a family vacation we wanted to play games but thereâs not a table here. There are some soft cushion âend tablesâ and a large kitchen bar but not comfortable to sit around and put a game board on. We called the office to ask to borrow a card table or something but they didnât have anything. It was cold so we grabbed a couple of blankets that were stored in the closet. Two of them had old wrist band stickers stuck to them which means theyâve not been washed after used. We could deal with all of this until we went to âthe beach!â Wow there was no beach! Just a soggy rut-covered muddy swamp. THAT was the most disappointing part! I guess weâd had too high of expectations in thinking things were clean just because it was a...
