My wedding is a month and a half away. I got my fiancé to go in and choose his suit and colors. He worked with Erika...and I don't know if she needs more training or what, but it was an awful experience. He traveled from out of town to get to his scheduled appointment after working a full day, only to find out that they don't have appointments, despite making the appointment online. He got paired with Erika who did just about everything in her power to make it not work. She seemed to have not wanted to even do the fitting. She had to know the exact color of my dress, despite him telling her it was a crisp white. We didn't have our wedding colors down because we had intended on picking them based off of his suit colors. She basically refused to even show him the catalog because she was worried that he" might change your wedding colors, and have to come back to get new colors". When he explained all of this to her, she then said that she didn't want to do the fitting because it might clash with what the other members of the wedding party might wear. He ended up leaving and only being fitted, and he decided to come back the next day because she wasn't working. The next day he went in AGAIN, and he got paired with Haley, and she knew exactly what she was doing. She did request a picture of my dress which I sent to her directly, other than that she went with the colors that he wanted. It was quick and easy and he got all of the grooms party situated with what he wanted them to wear. She was awesome!
Unfortunately, today the father of the groom and our ring bearer (nephew who is 9) went in to get their fittings done and was met by Erika. She refused to fit our nephew because "he could grow by the time the wedding happens, and than we would need to fit him again." So IF he grows at all, which would be no more than an 8th of an inch, you can't do anything today??? You can't accommodate this in any way possible? She told my fiancé and the father of the groom that he should come in 3 or 4 weeks before the wedding which would basically be next week. She doesn't seem willing to do her job. We are spending $1,000+ on rentals and that's what a final fitting is for, to make sure that if anyone has grown up or out that it'll get fixed. I was assured by David's Bridal that Men's Wearhouse would accommodate us, and it has been nothing but trouble. Would never recommend this place unless you were able to get in with Haley. So now we have to wait until Erika is not working and schedule an appointment (that they may or may not abide by) with Haley so that this bride doesn't have to stress about her nephews fitting getting done on time. This is not how to...
Read moreIâve been a customer of Menâs Wearhouse for many years, and Iâve generally had positive experiences with them, at several stores across the country. This one comes close to being the worst location Iâve ever visited. They keep you standing outside, waiting for 30-60 minutes because theyâre âat capacity.â First, I know what Boiseâs restrictions are, and theyâre not even close to being âat capacity.â There are 3 people in the store. THREE. This is the second time this has happened, and I wouldnât come here if I had another viable option. The last time, I came to pick up a suit after it had been tailored. After standing outside for 40 minutes, I was allowed into the store to try it on. The suit fit well, but it looked like it had been slept in. There was barely a panel which wasnât covered in wrinkles. It had probably been balled up on a chair, and then sat on. When I finished trying on the suit, the staff member tried to put it on the hanger and bag it like it didnât look like a pile of rags. Then, when I asked her to press it, she huffed and acted like Iâd just asked her to pay my mortgage. This is what happens when you start hiring children who just want to be left alone so they can finish their shift and go home.
I am not rich, but, for my budget, I have spent a ton of money at MW. I have done this because they have quality items, and, usually, fantastic service. Not here in Boise. This trip? I wasnât let into the store, I had to let myself in as people left. Then I browsed shirts for 20 minutes before one of the staff shoved her way past me so she could respond to the other staff member who was yelling for her across the store. I guess she didnât see me...Iâm only 5â9â, 200lbs. Pretty easy to miss. A few minutes after this, the yeller finally asked me if I needed help. It was also a lot of fun to listen to her complain about âcorporate forcing us to redo the shirt wall.â Very professional of her. I guess Iâll start looking to see if thereâs a local tailor or shop that people can recommend. This location sure isnât my old one in...
Read moreOver the past 25 years I have purchased over 50 suits from the Boise Menâs Wearhouse. I just picked up three new ones today and I have to say this was the worst buying experience I have ever had. I have watched the Menâs Wearhouse go from a quality menâs apparel store into a trashy outlet type experience just a step above Walmart. The employees are all very unhappy to be there and are very vocal about it. All of their inventory is in sloppy stacks and thereâs paper all over the floor and very unattractive. This last go round I purchased three suits and had to come back three times after the fitting because they kept forgetting to do the alterations. When you walk in they still make you put your name on a waiting list because there is only three employees working at the store. I canât go into anymore detail because you would think Iâm exaggerating. I gave the Menâs Wearhouse less than six months and they will no longer be in Boise.
Update. 10-15-24 I know I fried these guys when I wrote this first review. I'm not changing my one star rating, but in all fairness I need to update. I had to go back and buy one more suit from them because my daughter got married and they chose to have their wedding party buy their suits from the Men's Warehouse. I have to say that my experience was very good and much like how I remembered over the years. It sounds like they went through some pretty rough growing pains during Covid but it appears that they are back to doing business as usual. I was...
