Big 5 Sporting Goods — Local services in Gardena

I'm not sure how I want to rate this place so you decide. I went here to purchase a few items. While I was shopping, a gentleman (It could have been the manager) assisted me. He was very helpful but when I went to the register to pay for the items, the sales associate was very unprofessional. There was a customer in front of me which stepped out of the line to get something else. When the customer returned, she stood behind me. I think she wanted to get back in front of me but she did not ask if she could and I don't think she wanted to challenge me. When I reach the sales associate, I put my items on the counter. Instead of greeting me, the sales associate said, " You can't purchase this item. It belongs to the customer behind you and she has already paid for it". I told the sales associate these items has not been paid for and does not belong to this customer. The sales associate kept arguing with me about this item until the customer finally told to the sales associate my items did not belong to her. As I completed my purchase, the sales associate called the next customer which was the customer that got out of line. They started speaking a different language and laughing. I was in this store for a full 30 minutes, I saw a manager and 4 worker's and not 1 person asked me if I needed any help, just kept walking on by & the fact that there were only about 5 to 8 customers in the store really had me bothered, so needless to say I left without purchasing anything & not because I couldn't have said excuse me can you help me, but because what exactly is the point of everyone standing around laughing and joking when u should be trying to help the customers if it's nothing more than you saying "are you finding everything ok" or "do u need some help" or anything. 🙄 smh but the good news is they had the shoe I wanted at the Big 5 on Hawthorne and Artesia, where I was greeted shortly after walking in & helped on the floor by a young gentleman who looked in the back & then went up & down the isle's looking for the shoe that had been put in the wrong place on the wrong isle..these are the kind of people I wish I could tip but I don't think...

Don't shop at this store rude customer service representatives. Waiting and waiting and waiting at the ammo Pick up counter even after the other representatives saw me waiting at the help desk she didn't even bother to say hello sir how can I help You... nasty nasty customer service representative the 3 females that are working there. Look at you like your bothering them. If you don't like where you work at quit and work somewhere else you are in customer service retail. Make the customer feel welcome. I will never shop at any big 5 sporting goods..
