Before I tell of my experience I want to point out that Sharif Tamini (and possibly Moe Tamini) work at or own Fix-a-Phone. They wrote positive reviews below so be careful what you read. These are suppose to be unbiased from customers to tell of their service. They say they don't recognize me. My name was not requested. They can not deny that Sharif (and Moe?) owns or works at Fix-a-phone and gave a false review to promote their own company. After I wrote this review, they took Sharif's review off. AGAIN, READ THE REVIEWS CAREFULLY.
I went to get my phone repaired and when I got it back the glass was fixed, but I could not hear anyone any more. When I took it back the guy who supposedly fixed it told me that it had to be bad when I brought it and they wouldn't fix it unless I paid more.
I ended up taking it to another place and when they opened the phone up the new technician told me the speaker or cable or something had dislodged and he fixed it immediately. He told me it could have been an accident, but that sometimes places do that to get more money.
I will not be going back. They may or may not have accidentally broken my speaker, but they wanted to charge me more and I knew the sound was okay when I...
Read moreThe store has great reviews which is why I chose this shop. But I would advise caution doing business here as there are plenty of red flags that came up during my visit. I went in to have my Samsung phone screen replaced. The proprietor first told me that Samsung phones weren't popular, then tried to sell me a refurbished Samsung phone of the same model. He then told me the cost of the repair and then said it would cost $85 more for labor. I confronted him about the price (it was nearly $100 more than what I had been told by another repair location who did not have the part available), and he said I could look at his computer to see the cost of the replacement screen. I already had bad vibes from the refurbed phone pitch but decided to continue. He then said he wanted a hundred dollars down. When I got my credit card out, he said his card machine was down because he had no internet. Wait, what? He had just told me to check out the cost of the replacement part on his computer! Then said there was an ATM down the street to get cash. I told him no thanks, no deal. I did tell him that I would not be reviewing his place favorably – his reaction was yet...
Read moreWould highly recommend this place. I broke the screen on my iPhone6+S and looked around at several places and kept getting quotes of $200-250 to fix it. I was driving past here and decided to pull in and ask the price to fix it. They actually took the time to evaluate the problem and he told me he would replace the glass $140. He told me the force touch sensor wasn't broken, and only the glass needed replacing. At this point I realized all the other places weren't looking at the actual issue, they were just going to charge me the full price to replace the whole front portion of the phone. At this point I realized this place was doing their job instead of just trying to make an extra $60-100 off of a customer. He said they could have it ready in 30 minutes. I went to eat lunch, came back and it was ready. He went through all of the operations of the phone to show me it was working, rather than just giving it back to me and letting me get on the road and discovering something was wrong later. Excellent service work, excellent customer service and all around exceptional experience! Would recommend to any of my friends and family, or anyone at all...
