I can't say enough good things about Sam's Fine Jewelry. First let me tell you that the level of customer service you can expect from them is above and beyond what you'll find anywhere else in the Metroplex. This is mainly due to the efforts of their store's Manager, Seema Patel.
My wife and I have been going to Sam's since we moved to the area a little over 9 years ago. In that time Seema has gone out of her way to make me and my family feel like valued customers. From the simplest thing-- like getting a watch battery changed, to a major jewelry purchase, you can expect the folks at Sam's to be competitively priced and timely with their turn around. On a recent visit, Seema even went out of her way to speak with my 4 year old daughter and present her with a necklace and bracelet gift set of cultured pearls. Needless to say my little girl is now Seema's biggest fan.
Most recently, my wife and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. Over the years she had always loitered by the wedding/anniversary band section of the jewelry case whenever we visited the store. So when our anniversary rolled around, I knew it would be the perfect time to surprise her with a diamond ring guard or band. Under the guise of having her engagement ring polished and cleaned, I secretly enlisted the help of Seema to assist me in designing the perfect accompaniment to my wife's platinum ring.
Seema was extremely helpful. Not only does she have extensive knowledge of the jewelry trade, she also has exquisite taste! I had been focused on trying to find an anniversary band that emulated the engagement ring mount which included side baguettes and round diamonds. I wasn't finding anything that really worked and balanced the rings. It was then Seema suggested a custom set of matching diamond bands that would go on each side of the engagement ring. It was genius! Not only did it complement and really set off the engagement ring, but it had symmetry and balance to the entire set of rings.
Helping me find the right ring(s) would be praise enough, but here's what sets Seema and Sam's Jewelry apart form all others-- My 10th anniversary was in less than a week and here I was asking for a set of custom diamond platinum bands, oh and did I mention that this was also a week before Christmas... I thought going in to this venture that this would end up being a belated anniversary gift/Christmas present at best due to my late start. But wouldn't you know it, Seema assured me that she could get the rings done in time for my actual anniversary day. I was skeptical, but Seema came through for me in a big way.
I got the rings on the afternoon of our big day. I was able to surprise my wife when we revisited the venue where we exchanged our vows and got married. My wife was speechless and blown away. She absolutely loved the rings.
Afterwards, we visited Sam's and my wife made sure to express her gratitude to Seema for helping me design the perfect anniversary bands for my wife's ring. Seema also suggested and arranged for us to get all 3 rings (the 2 bands and the engagement ring) laser-welded together so as to keep them from sliding and turning independently from one another on my wife's finger. Once again, another terrific suggestion which my wife adored. And the charge for that service-- complementary! Free of Charge! Just another example of Sam's Fine Jewelry's service after the sale.
So, if you are in need of a good jeweler, look no further than Sam's Fine Jewelry in Firewheel to help you put the exclamation and sparkle in one of life's milestones or special occasions. I recommend them wholeheartedly and without any...
Read moreI can’t say enough about Sam’s Fine Jewelry. Prior to this, I’d only ever been to chain jewelry stores. However, my grandmother recently passed away and I found myself with a few heirloom pieces that I wanted to have redesigned. Actually, I came in with literally 5+ pieces of jewelry and all these half baked ideas of how to combine settings, melt down and reuse gold, etc. Sam didn’t even flinch. He sat down with me and somehow my jumbled ideas came to life. He totally understood what I wanted and he knew exactly how to do it. Furthermore, I was impressed with the pricing- it really wasn’t bad considering the amount of work that I’m having him do, and a chain jewelry store quoted me much higher for even less work. Beyond that, he worked with me on financing and layaway and is even rushing a custom order in 3 weeks so it will be done in time for Christmas.
So far, I’ve gotten 2 out of the 5 pieces that I ordered back, and I am blown away by his work. One was just a small ring resizing, but very well done. However, the other ring was an intricate family heirloom that needed resized 2.5 sizes larger and I also requested 3 small diamonds to be added to it. For the record, I also took this ring to a commercial chain that also does custom work and they told me that what I was asking for was impossible and that the ring would never be able to be resized due to its repeating pattern. Not only did Sam have it done in less than a week, but you can’t even tell where he resized it. His work is flawless, and I know that this was no easy task. He is clearly an expert in his field.
Overall, I’m beyond pleased with Sam and his beautiful work. I’m even more impressed with his genuine kindness and willingness to work with me, especially since my grandmother just passed. Also, I’ve looked around the store while I’ve been in there, and there are so many unique pieces of jewelry- I highly recommend Sam’s if you’re looking for something unique, have a custom design in mind, or need jewelry repaired. I will never go to another jeweler as long as I still live...
Read moreWhen my Mother passed away she left my wife an emerald in a very dated setting. Not knowing the value I asked several jewelry and related stores what the value of the stone actually was. I was told by numerous stores, people don't want colored stones any longer so, the value is not much over $300 and one even said something around $85 and all were willing to take it off my hands so I would not have to worry about it. Right then.
I had helped a friend of mine find and purchase an engagement ring for his now wife months before. By the way, they ended up buying his wedding ring as well as her's at Sam's. While watching Seema work with my friend I was impressed at how friendly and professional she was. So, I decided to take the stone there to see if they could give me an honest value. While Seema and my wife were talking, Sam came out and told us it would be best to have the stone sent off for an independent appraisal and even though there was a small cost, we thought it would be best. While there my wife and I decided to see how we could use the stone. Sam had some ideas and showed them to my wife. She was very happy and excited as to what could be done.
When the stone came back we were surprised to find out the true value. It seems the other stores wanted to try and pull one on me and value it much, much lower than it actually is. Our next step with Sam's is to have the ring design finalized and brought to life.
I am an insurance agent and have suggested Sam's and Seema, and the whole staff, to my clients and friends. You can't go wrong with their service, honestly and ability to make the client happy. They are not a chain or an impersonal conglomerate, Sam's is a true family store that has you in mind.
All the above information is true and honest. I am not being paid, reimbursed, or compensated in any way by Sam's Fine Jewelry or its...
