I very infrequently write reviews for restaurants. Amora Cafe is so exceptional that I had to write a glowing review.
My wife and I decided to spend Veteran's day together at Firewheel Mall. We were starting early so I decided to find a breakfast place nearby. Google led me to Amora Cafe, and we are so grateful it did. Having 5 stars and over a hundred reviews, I was amazed to hear it had only been open for 6 weeks. One of the owners greeted us at the door and told us about Amora and how it came to be, including the fact that this was his wife's restaurant. He briefly educated us on Turkish food, as it was our first time, and was very attentive to any questions we asked.
My wife and I sat down in their lovely establishment. We have never felt more at home in any restaurant. It was as if the entire meal revolved around us. We were (politely) given recommendations about what or how we should order/eat. They continually poured out generosity towards us by providing free samples or frequent visits from the chef herself. These were the most humble and generous people we have come across in some time.
The food, was fantastic. For those of you like us that have never tried Turkish food, please try Amora Cafe. It could not have been a better introduction into this cuisine. Everything was beyond delicious. It honestly felt as if we were at their house, and they were making this homemade meal just for us. From the savory, to the sweet, everything was absolutely amazing.
Needless to say, we brought home a number of Turkish meats, cheeses, and sweets to share with our kids. We just finished our first Turkish charcuterie board at home for dinner and everything was top quality.
We cannot wait to return this coming weekend, we already have it planned. If we lived closer, we would be there tomorrow. I cannot wait to revisit the food, but most importantly, the people.
If you live anywhere in the DFW metroplex, please give this place a shot, you wont be...
Read moreAmora Cafe is the place to be! The variety of Turkish pastries and desserts is endless, the service is as good as possible, and the atmosphere is nothing but class. This isn't your typical restaurant by any means. The food served here is handmade with organic natural ingredients, you can easily taste the richness of quality within every bite. I was fortunate enough to sit down with the owner for some time before closing and all I can say is that from the interaction I was able to have, I was speaking to a genuine man. This isn't a restaurant that acts all "polite" just for you to tip largely at the end, no, Amora Cafe is here to give you an amazing experience while you enjoy high-quality, delicious food! I've never had any Turkish food until last night but I'll be the first to say that this place beats American pastries and desserts in my opinion, and this coming from a person who has eaten food from many different nationalities. I recommend Amora Cafe to everyone...you won't be...
Read moreI had an excellent experience at Amora Café! I started with a breakfast plate that included kavurma, and it was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked and delicious. After breakfast, I enjoyed a traditional Turkish coffee, which was rich and flavorful. The owner later recommended I try Moroccan tea, and though it was my first time, I absolutely loved it and highly recommend giving it a try.
The staff here are incredibly kind and friendly, and the service is exceptional. A special thanks to Betül, who was very attentive and ensured everything was perfect. Although it’s a new café, I believe they have great potential to grow as long as they maintain this high quality.
Thanks to the owner and the entire team for such a memorable experience! I’ll definitely...
