Rainbow Shops — Local services in Garner

I went into this rainbow on Sunday May 5, 2024. I was not greeted by no sale associated. It was a guy his wig was pretty, it was a light skinned chick maybe manager and another sales associate. I'm shopping for some items, and it was 2 older black ladies walked in and as soon as that door opened and that chime went off. Hello welcome to rainbow, I'm like damn I was the only one in this store and not a single sales associate greeted me. So I continued to shop and the black guy with the slayed wig rung me up. Now I'm from Fayetteville so I leave Fayetteville every now and then to shop in Raleigh. So I returned the next morning about 11:30 Monday May 6, 2024 to return my items, I kept a pair of purple leggins and a purple dress only because my stores in Fayetteville didn't have them. But I returned everything else, I would rather spend my money at a business that greets evey customers no matter the race or gender. But wait here's the catch, on this Monday May 6,2024, I walked in that store it was a heavy set older woman the same light skinned chick that was there that Sunday and a dark skin chick . Not one of them greeted me and I walked in with a rainbow bag in my hand. And 10 seconds after that 4 white ladies walked in and the heavy lady with no shoes on greeted all of them, and a black older lady walked In and she was greeted as well. I said damn am I invisible so I, went to the counter to return my items, I was going to exchange all my clothes for a bigger size but no.I gets to the counter and that's when the light skin chick wants to speak. I said in return I need to return these items and I did not speak, I wonder how did that make her feel. I don't care I would never return back to that rainbow. Sorry for the long post that store...

I came into Rainbow to return a few items and left completely disgusted with the way I was treated. I had a few shirts I wanted to return — tags on, receipt in hand, & well within the return window. After I give her the clothes, she tells me that the items are “dirty” and that they can’t resell them.. I tell her that I haven’t even taken the shirts out of the bag. I asked her to point out exactly where—and she couldn’t. She just stood there giving me a nasty look and no explanation.

I asked for my receipt and items back, and instead of handing them to me, she started slowly writing “Dirty” on the receipt. But not just writing—retracing her letters, going over them multiple times. Taking her time while I stood there waiting. It felt like she was trying to embarrass me or make a scene. I told her to just keep the receipt and I left without returning anything. I’ve never been treated like this at any store—let alone over a return that followed their own policy.

Rainbow, if this is the kind of manager you stand behind, don’t expect returning customers.

And ladies, do yourself a favor; literally shop ANYWHERE else. somewhere where they don’t treat people like they’re a problem for simply following...

I went into rainbow today with my husband, not knowing that they closed at 6pm. The workers were yelling at the customers every 5 minutes that they were about to close and they needed to make their way to checkout. One of the workers walked up to a lady beside me and my husband and she said we are closing soon please make your way to checkout. The lady told her she heard the announcement please don't be rude and she will be ready in a moment. When I got to checkout, the worker was talking about the lady rudely in front of us. Also she came to work with a wig cap on. That is very unprofessional. She needs to be fired.

Jun 21st...I bought some shorts back to see if I could make a return or exchange. I made sure I had the tags and receipts because last time she asked me to get the tags from my car in order to make an return. She looked in the bag and she said I could not return in because the tags were no longer attached but last time I made a return the tags weren't attached either. This older woman with dreads is rude and disrespectful to all customers and shows no customer service...
