I have been buying vehicles from Kepich Ford for years in fact 20 plus years. Pete Kepich and his staff always a class act!
I recently bought a truck from Now Daystar Ford but my salesman was Pete Kepich which made me feel comfortable buying the truck I was buying. I made a deal with Pete after being there all day . Pete gave me the cost of the truck and he unfortunately had to leave.
I then go into the finance office and as I review the final paperwork and numbers I see a couple costs added into the price after the fact. I immediately object to the cost the finance officer gets the sales manager and here comes the BS excuse of oh well our program when giving the cost doesn’t show all costs. It was the biggest bunch of crap I have ever heard of. Of course my salesman Pete is gone and I am left with this decision. The manager explained the program faults. Which honestly was just making my blood boil! I wanted him away from me! I love the truck and clearly I was baited and switched after my salesman left. Its my fault in the end I agreed to the purchase however its a mistake that will sting forever! I recently stopped my son from making a purchase from Daystar because I definitely don’t trust them and Pete is retiring for good and moving away so I have no reason other than his awesome brother Chuck left at Daystar. After getting home having a few days to settle down and let the excitement of the new truck calm down I reviewed everything again! I was really taken for a seriously bad ride. Totally hooked me on an amazing truck then added costs right at the end! In my opinion this was completely illegal and no matter what they should say about their bs program they know what they did!
Buyer beware be very careful and when negotiating the price of your purchase ask them for all numbers including those that their program conveniently forgets until the deal is made!
I made them and Pete aware again after the sales manager said I looked happy when I left!
Truck is amazing yes it is however I have no respect not trust for Daystar. I would not recommend a friend to purchase from them in fact I have stopped my Son already and two other friends that recently purchased vehicles!
I drove 45 minutes to this dealership for 20 years because I trusted Kepich Ford . Daystar lost me and If they were 5 minutes away I would not purchase there.
Never even tried making it right with a phone call or anything. Pete has contacted me and he of course apologized. Unfortunately he no longer owns the dealership otherwise that would have not happened and if it did I know he would have made it right!
Be extremely cautious if you decide to purchase from...
Read moreAvoid this ford dealer like the plague! They sold me a vehicle, that is now sitting with a blown motor a year and half after purchasing it. So now I’m making payments on a dead vehicle that apparently was meticulously maintained by them (I keep and kept up with scheduled/preventative maintenance as well)
Do not trust their small town family friendly persona they advertise. It is a flat out lie. Doing business with this dealership was a nightmare from the start. First things first - I drove two hours from Cleveland to test drive this said vehicle, guess what?! They couldn’t even locate the key! No apologies or compensation. So I had to drive back 2 hours the following weekend, yet again no compensation. Then after purchasing this said vehicle, the right door breaks and flys open on the freeway, the day I bought it. I called them immediately - They then insisted, I rig it up, drive home and that they would get someone out to Cleveland to pick the car up and take it back to their dealership to repair... They did just that and it took them two weeks to fix a door on a car and it get it back to me... the vehicle I just bought a day ago.
Next thing, the door actuator breaks and makes a horrible buzzing noise after unlocking, a month after that, the power steering starts to go, which I had to fix via another closer dealer because I couldn’t even fathom dealing with this so called ford dealership. AND now a year and half later, I own a dead vehicle with a blown motor. I could go into more detail about other things they schemed on with this vehicle but you would be reading this review for two hours.
My family has had ford workers and mechanics in it for years and we’ve never encountered such a horrible unfriendly scam of a dealership and I advise anyone looking for a vehicle, specifically a ford, to avoid this place at all costs and spend your money at a dealership that actually sells quality vehicles and provides customer service and has vehicles that aren’t masked to look good on the lot but start falling apart down the street.
Don’t be fooled by the 4-5 star reviews, this is a dealer that begs you before and after your purchase to review them so their rating stays high.
Do your dignity and your money a favor... AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE...
Read moreDo not buy a used car from here ESPECIALLY if you live out of state. This vehicle (Jeep Wrangler) is nothing but a rusty piece of junk. The salesman, Larry, swore up and down that his mechanics went over this vehicle top to bottom. Really??? When I brought the vehicle to PA for inspection, it failed immediately for the following reasons: Ball joints, universal joints, front passenger leaking brake line, rear brake rotors, pads, and calipers. And also the roof leaked like swiss cheese. However, it was raining when we got there to test drive and Larry said the front seat was wet because his umbrella had gotten into the seat before he did? hmm. I should have walked right there. Anyway, the did replace the ball joints (even though he tried to tell me they were not in need of replacing but did it as a courtesy) and leaking brake line ( how two different mechanics could miss that is beyond me), and also they replaced one of the universal joints even though both needed replaced. They were helpful but definitely did the bare minimum to get me out the door because they knew this vehicle was a time bomb. They did not repair the brake rotors, calipers, or pads which an independent garage said were "falling apart." So now just a few months later after driving around a clearly unsafe vehicle with my family, I'm out over $1000. Im sure they have some garage buddy just across the PA line who will slap a sticker on anything for referrals. Oh, and the leaky roof is terrible so ill be out another 500 at least for a new top and all along they knew it leaked from multiple locations. Lesson learned: never buy out of state especially in Ohio where they have absolutely no safety standards whatsoever. These guys clearly did not care about selling a safe vehicle. Needless to say I...
