I found Facet Salon & Day Spa in Groupon. However, when I asked to use the Groupon to save on my hair cut, I was told that it was for a cut and style with a tier 1 stylist. This was after I had already received a cut and style by the owner, who is a tier 4. I then expected the price to be as advertised on their price list, but was told that the price I would pay for the cut and style was $10 greater than their advertised price because of the status of the stylist. I was so taken by the prices, I didn't bother to consider the cut I just received. I have since had a few days to play with the cut and it is crooked. The top dollar I paid to experience a cut from the owner, was for a lop sided cut. I just can't believe it. The salon doesn't have the best lighting or mirrors, so I'll assume this impacts the customers ability to get a good look at their new style. I am still giving the salon 3 stars because my daughter and I also had a shellac nail service and my daughter had a facial. I feel somewhat unfair to judge the employee who took care of our nails and facial because she was not feeling well at the time and still did a very nice job on our nails. However, because she wasn't feeling well and made the choice to work rather than call off, she exposed my daughter and I to her cold. Within a day, I had a nasty sinus infection. I even washed my hands thoroughly after I had allowed her to finish my nails. In hindsight, I would have just told the girl no thank you and we'll reschedule when you're feeling better. However, after paying unreasonable prices for a lop sided haircut, I may not have rescheduled and wouldn't have returned. The owner was very nice, as were her staff. She mentioned the salon was going to get a new look. I hope when it does the owner will seek out bright and flattering lighting. Something I will consider with each trip I make to future salons will be their choice in lighting and mirrors (especially the mirrors). I attached a picture below of the hair cut. The picture is not great, but it shows the shortest part of the hair is on the left side of my neck rather than the center of my neck. I've been a loyal customer of Facet Salon for over five years, and I'm genuinely disappointed with how my most recent experience was handled.

With their stylist availability becoming limited, I scheduled my yearly hair appointment five weeks in advance, carefully planning around a busy season at work. I even adjusted my schedule to make this appointment possible—working six days that week and four hours on Saturday morning to free up time.

Then, just a few days before the appointment, I received a voicemail saying it had to be rescheduled due to a family emergency. I completely understand that life happens. However, what followed was frustrating. In trying to rebook, I was offered dates I couldn’t do, and when I suggested dates I could make work, they were already booked. The best they could offer was a new appointment nearly five weeks out—again—on a day I also couldn’t make.

At that point, I gave up and decided I’d have to find a new salon.

While I absolutely sympathize with personal emergencies, I expected more flexibility and consideration, especially after five years of loyalty. This appointment was my once-a-year full hair service—not just a casual trim or touch-up. It would’ve meant a lot to feel like a priority after investing so much time and trust in...

This is my second time here and it was just as exceptional as the first! When they gave me a tour the first time they educated me about the spa service. I tried out the eyebrow tinting and will always add this service to my hair appointments. This service is now a regular beauty staple for me! Due to over plucking for many years my eyebrows are thin and uneven. Because of eyebrow tinting I know have fabulous, full noticable eyebrows! Don't even get me started on the massage chair! Think full body massage without the awkwardness of having a person doing it. The chair has just the right amount of pressure to make it seem like a human is doing it!
