I've visited CVE with my husband a few times, and my experience has been a mixed bag. The locals seem to think they own the place, and some can be quite rude. My husband had a negative encounter when he visited alone, but when we're together, the guys are super friendly - probably because they're hoping to catch my eye!
The environment feels very cliquish, with regulars seemingly having connections with the front staff. If you're not part of the inner circle, you might find yourself getting kicked out more easily.
The couples side is where we usually hang out, and I've had some great experiences with like-minded folks. However, the single men's area can be overwhelming, with guys coming on strong and following you around. It's a bit too much for my taste. At times, it even gets annoying, but I have to admit that overhearing their strategies on how to approach women can be entertaining and funny. Ladies, DO NOT visit without an escort.
The single guys, in particular, seem extremely thirsty and are mediocre at best.
Unfortunately, I've also noticed that some straight guys, particularly the black ones, can be very rude to members of the LGBTQ+ community and come across as paranoid. This behavior is not okay and can make the space feel unwelcoming.
On the other hand, the front office staff has always been friendly and welcoming. We've never had any unpleasant experiences with them, which is a definite plus.
Honestly, if we weren't visiting the couples side, I wouldn't waste my time or money on CVE. My husband and I are looking for other ways to explore and connect with others, and CVE doesn't quite fit the bill for us. If you're considering a visit, be aware of the dynamics and set boundaries. To each their own, I suppose!
So, our pros and cons.
Pros: Friendly front office staff, some enjoyable experiences on the couples side Cons: Cliques, rude locals, overly aggressive and thirsty single men, and unwelcoming behavior towards LGBTQ+ community
Overall, CVE might not be the best fit for everyone, especially if you're looking for a more relaxed and...
Read moreAn awesome place for singles or couples. They have a large theater for all with a smaller one on each side if it, different types of porn in each. Discreet searing on comfy vinyl couches and tables with oil and paper towels partition walls for some privacy. There are also 2 private party rooms to rent by the hour, with a large window opening into the main theater and curtains. Open to let people watch (we did and it was amazing).
Upstairs is the “couples-only” theater for m/f couples only, but I think single females are also permitted. Watch and share, it’s a great place to meet other couples. We’ve made a few good friends there, and one drive to Asheville to spend a weekend with us last month.
Clean and well manages, no riff raff allowed, large outdoor private smoking area w chairs …we advertise in a singles site when we’re going and often meet couples from...
Read moreCould be a fun place for everyone, but very discriminative to women and couples. If you're a man. You can basically do anything. But since the guys running it are homosexual. Straight play is prohibited. They have a homosexual gray haired man running it most of the time. He seems to have it out for any women at the business. I say this because I was simply standing in the arcade section, and someone hugged me from behind. He came straight around the corner, to harass, and tell us no touching was allowed. 15 minutes later as he comes down to investigate the bottom theater. As usual. Some guy is in that back booth servicing six men at a time? He stands quiet and watches three men in plain view getting busy? Doesn't say a word to them? So. A woman can't even get a hug. But a man can leave with his eyes glued shut from other...
