I stayed at this hotel for around four to six months in 2025, and it was, without exaggeration, one of the worst experiences of my life.
The building is completely infested with roaches — every floor, every hallway, every room. I personally witnessed multiple guests check in, see the conditions, and demand refunds within an hour. Management is fully aware of this issue and has done next to nothing to fix it.
The staff turnover here is unreal. I watched the general manager, Shawn, go through three or four night attendants, multiple maintenance workers, and several housekeepers in just a few months. At some point, you have to stop blaming the staff and recognize that the problem is management.
The core issue with this location is sloppy, unstructured leadership. There’s no real accountability, no consistent direction, and no sense of pride in the property. Problems that should take a day or two to fix are left to spiral for weeks or months, and employees are either set up to fail or left completely unsupported. The result is a constant state of chaos that filters down from the top — and it shows in every single aspect of how this place operates.
Shawn presents himself as polite and professional, but it’s a façade. In reality, he’s one of the most indifferent and manipulative people I’ve ever met in hospitality. His “concern” for guests and employees is all for show — he’ll act sympathetic one moment, then abandon you the next. I personally witnessed long-term residents go weeks without refrigeration, running water, or even power, all while management ignored them.
The filth in this building is beyond belief. The hallways and stairwells constantly reek of urine, and floors are caked with mud and grime. Late at night, large groups of long-term construction workers get drunk in the parking lot, blaring music, harassing women, and leaving behind trash everywhere. My wife was personally harassed on several occasions, and staff did absolutely nothing.
Death surrounds this place; police & paramedics were constantly at the property, often multiple times a week. During my stay: personally witnessed a woman shoot herself in the head in the parking lot (directly behind my car. I did not know her.), an episode involving 3 guests which resulted in one of their murders, my neighbor accross the hall died, & much more. DO NOT bring your children here.
The assistant manager, Ms. T, somehow manages to be worse. She thrives on small displays of authority and treats both guests and staff with open hostility. She publicly berates employees in front of customers, and her attitude sets the tone for the chaos that defines this place.
To make matters worse, I’ve personally seen management clear out rooms before a guest’s checkout date, throwing away their personal belongings, then blame the staff to cover their own negligence. I’ve also seen multiple live-in employees fired without warning, left literally homeless overnight.

Read moreGreat place to stay for an extended period of time with affordable rates.Staff is awesome.Has full size fridge and 2 burner electric stovetop,microwave.You need to bring your coffee majer,dryer,dishes.Upon arrival you'll have soap,toilet paper,etc.but should buy some.Cleaning and linen change once every 2wk.but have great laundry facility.I loved it here!! They said exterminator would be there and had to remove everything from cabinets,shelves,things pulled away from walls by 10AM! Had to be gone for 2 hours.My husband works remotely from computer ,waited all day,they knew he had to get on computer ASAP and come pick me up at 3pm! Them knowing this and after man does not get there till after 2pm,they tell him sorry he started at the other end when no one else worked remotely or spouse got off at 3 plus he left for 2 hours till after 12.Beeing mad he asked what time was checkout,knowing he was just mad,he did not check out because we paid 1 month in advance every month.Housekeeper knocks on the door says we have to go that Faye had already checked us out! I tried talking to her but she said no,room already rented but could come back Sat.We had already pre planned at Quality Inn and they were in middle of remodeling at Woodspring and had already had to move once because of this so we said we'd wait till done with remodeling to return.When I called to return she lied and said someone had put tape over smoke detector! one 2 men had came in fixing smoke detectors 2 days prior! 2 We had been gone a month and she said she smelled smoke after going in to approve remodel.First housekeeper was in my doorway morning they said they had checked us out,she knew that was not true,she would have smelled that,2 left room immaculate,3 if we were scummy and not followed rules,...who happens to have on hand masking tape to do that,who after a month could smell that and the people who were remodeling were sleeping in the rooms overnight! they were the ones.She saw us outside every day,evening..smoking.I didn't smoke in my own home for 18yrs before forclosure.What she did was in compassionate and knew was not the truth! Because of this we are still stuck a hotel not able to save any money,can't,cook,wash clothes etc.So we have been here 2 years because of a lie all because my husband got angry that he got no work done and we had to be gone from 10 am till after 5pm! He was mad but not raising voice,using any inappropriate language just upset because knowing he had been waiting all day,as a matter of fact if we weren't ready we would be CHARGED! I asked why was nothing said about this smoking thing till you inspected remodeling a month later and people don't carry tape to hotels.She even lied and said no they had not been in my room.YES THEY WERE CUZ ALARM KEPT GOING OFF IN BLDING! They dont care what your situation is..Thank goodness my kids are adults so was just me...
Read moreI was back and forth about posting this review because it is NOT a reflection on the nice frontline staff that helped us get out of there! This place is inundated with roaches. It should be closed down until they can get the help needed to eliminate the roach infestation currently there. We reserved a room at this hotel because we were waiting to move into our new home. We are a family of four and needed a place to stay where I could prepare our meals. As soon as we get there and begin to unpack, we noticed small roaches on the walls, then we find some in the bathroom, then we open the cabinets and boom a crew of the them. My husband complains and what do we get a big bottle to spray our own room. We were told it was safe and Non- toxic- not the case and really not our responsibility. Apparently, the construction on the third floor- which was going on at that time is the culprit behind the nest relocating to other floors!!! In addition, the building was allegedly bombed by an eco friendly bug terminating company- Name unknown. Well their service does not work. My husband went ahead and sprayed the parameter of the room and in the cabinets- these roaches began to come out of every crevice of the room instantly, including the A/C unit!!! He drowned some of these larger vicious roaches and they would not die. In addition, the smell of the chemicals sprayed triggered my asthma and affected my son who also suffers from respiratory problems. We were sick and freaking out so bad. I had to throw away food, they got in some food so fast, it was out of control. As my husband tried to check us out, I was killing roaches coming near my kids, me and our things. Check out the pictures- literally dozens killed in the garbage can. Now again, the staff were caring, understanding and pleasant- including the onsite manager who helped the next day. Upper management did reimburse us full cost but no contact to follow up with us and apologize. Apparently, the bottomline line is what matters and its apparent by the same reviews I see now after our awful ordeal and most importantly by the apologetic and "I wish I can tell you our hardships" look on staff faces, I am certain they have it hardest, since they have to report and do as they are told and avoid oversharing. Again, I had to share because not all families will deal with such a infested place. I have been sick thinking about the families having no other choice but to deal with this place because of their budgets. Its not worth it and they should do a better job dealing with the infestation and protecting their customers and staff! I hope management does not reprimand staff for this post, it is your responsibility as management/owners. I do not understand why anyone would give this place more than 1 star review. Do not fool people. Take responsibility and fix the problem...
