We spent 3 nights with our friends at the Summit Cabin. All was PERFECT! The cabin was very clean, state of the art kitchen appliances, jacuzzi was great especially after an eleven mile hike! (What was I thinking) Having a washer and dryer was nice. Fireplace was comfy and cozy. Before we left I had paper towels, toilet paper etc packed because normally going to a VRBO property you run out. My friend told me I did not need them the cabin was fully stocked. She was not kidding!! Everything!!! Extra paper towels and toilet paper, condiments, spices, face wipes, q-tips. I was WOW’D!!! They even had a blow dryer! Not all VRBO properties have blow dryers. It was also a plus having our own bathroom. The two bedrooms upstairs had their own bathrooms. Very convenient to the center of Gatlinburg. Not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Summit of Gatlinburg!! We hope to return! Thank you Gail and Morse for your hospitality even when you were not there! Oh, my husband and I loved the Greenbrier...
Read moreThe Summit Cabin of Gatlinburg is an incredible place to call home base in the Great Smokie Mountains National Park area! The owner is in regular communication, reaching out proactively, without being invasive, to ensure the entire process, from reservation to evacuation is smooth and seemless. The cabin itself is fantastic, featuring four large bedrooms, and very comfortable king-sized beds, and three bathrooms. The kitchen is nice, and very generously stocked with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, and everything else we had at home. My 4-family party just completed a five-evening stay, and never ate a meal outside the cabin, enjoying the large farm table together each day. The porch is covered with seating, including several large rocking chairs and a hot tub, that also turned out to be a place of constant gathering, coffee, and conversation. My family converged on The Summit from Indiana, Georgia, and New York, and we simply could not have asked for a better location or accomodations! I will not hesitate to...
Read moreWe stayed here while in town for our wedding that took place about 20 miles away on a mountain overlook. The cabin was clean, and even more beautiful in person than you can see from the photos online. The owners, Gail and Morse, were friendly and thoughtful. We arrived to find they left us a little bride and groom bear statue! So very sweet. They checked in on us a couple of times via text to ensure our stay was going well. We knew they cared about our stay being a positive one. We had our parents and kids over for an after wedding reception (10 people total) and had plenty of room inside and on the porch outside. A momma bear and her 3 cubs wandered past while all our guests were there. We saw a momma bear and 2 cubs a couple evenings earlier. The bears seem at home and mind their manners, not aggressive, just lovely to see as they pass by. Everything about this cabin was picture perfect for our wedding...
