A Fresh Take on a Local Staple - Ramey's Grocery Store
Ramey’s has taken over from Wayne/Jerry Lee’s, a store that has been a community staple for years, and I must say, they’ve done a fantastic job with the transition. Walking into Ramey’s feels like stepping into a refreshed version of the grocery store we’ve all come to love. They’ve done some impressive renovations, making the store look modern and clean, yet still retaining that classic, good old-fashioned grocery store vibe.
The store offers a wide range of products, and while some items have changed, the essence of what made Wayne/Jerry Lee’s special is still very much intact. You’ll still find the same friendly staff, along with a few new faces that bring fresh energy to the store. It’s nice to see that they’ve maintained that welcoming atmosphere that makes shopping here feel personal and comfortable.
One of the standout aspects of Ramey’s is the balance they’ve struck with their pricing. We all know how stressful and expensive it can be shopping at big chains like Walmart or Target. Ramey’s, however, offers competitive prices and plenty of great deals, making it a worthwhile stop for your weekly grocery run. Whether you’re looking for everyday essentials or something special for dinner, you’ll likely find it here without breaking the bank.
Overall, Ramey’s has done a commendable job taking the torch from Wayne/Jerry Lee’s and lighting the way forward. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area—you’ll enjoy the mix of nostalgia and fresh updates that make this grocery store a true...
Read moreFrozen food is often freezer burned, meat doesn't last and I've had to return expired candy to them at least once! Other times I would just throw it away. I don't know what it is but this store has some serious quality control issues, especially with frozen pizzas. I normally try to support small businesses but I was treated like a nuisance when I returned expired food that they were selling. It's ridiculous and no one seems to care. QC has seriously tanked in the last 8 years with this store. I hate going to Wal-Mart but I never have to worry about getting sick from their frozen products at least.
With freezer burned products and meat that goes bad in just a few days (or less) I'll be visiting Wal-Mart a lot more often than I used to...
Read moreI believe I've posted and reviewed Jerry Lee's before. I'm not from around here. Super duper super super friendly staff! Pricing I find to be exorbitant. The margins are off I don't know who the greedy person is perhaps a bad distribution deal. Either way pricing on most aisles is very very comparable to the pricing I've seen it similar grocery stores in San Francisco Los Angeles New Orleans Houston. I would shop somewhere else if I had the option, but it really is the only game in town... And that's precisely how monopolies work. Your rent can't compare to Safeway's rent at fisherman's wharf San Francisco adjust...
